Great video, nice and detailed. Just used it to change the plugs on a 2019. I will say to anyone watching - be very careful removing the coil pack plugs. The red tab can break easily and I believe you need to push them down a little bit so the one end goes over the bump on the coil pack.

Thank you! Let me know how it turns out. Tip- take before and after pictures of the RPMs at idle and while in drive gear. Lower RPMs = fuel savings. The plugs will pay for themselves in no time.

For anyone watching this those connectors won't come off, just leave them on and pull it off and flip it over and you can change the plug just fine. One less plastic trash thing you break.

I don't. Instead of removing the intake manifold, have you considered spraying cleaners into the vaccum and service ports on throttle body? This video about 2.4 liter manifold should help. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n8x-jZx_3667iWQ.htmlsi=agPKgZEUneGpSgCk Great question. Let me know how it goes.

When you change plugs on one of these Equinoxes, do you also have to have the engine tuned even if using the same OEM plugs as the replacements?

@lexington476 Here's what you can expect during a tune-up: Ignition system: Inspecting ignition coils, coil pack boots, and ignition wires Spark plugs: Replacing or inspecting spark plugs Other parts: Replacing or inspecting the PVC valve and air filter. Engine checks: Checking the battery and charging system, and inspecting the emission control system Engine adjustments: Adjusting the timing and idle speed . My 2023 Equinox playlist covers most of these items.

What is the torque wrench specifications for the OEM spark plugs on the equinox? Can't seem to find any information about that

Yes:). If you want to see how much better the engine performs with new plugs, take pictures of the RPMs gauge, at idle, before and after the repair. Lower RPMs, at idle, will yield increased fuel economy. Happy Holidays!
