@@anthonytaylor7928 sorry, but I'm a "MIDDLE SCHOOL" skater, and having said that, I know that several "LEGENDS " have an issue with "NEW SCHOOL" skaters. I think it's nice to see this generation at the rink, and not in the streets, regardless of their style. I'm with you, let them keep ROLLIN '🙂.

@@anthonytaylor7928 I'm 42 and I truly understand your point. I'm a DJ that's been on a very long hiatus, and these DJ's don't seem to understand the spotlight is on the skater. As a DJ we get our spotlight from battles, mix tapes, as you mentioned conferences, clubs, parties etc., and if we are privileged to travel with a group, then at times they may give us a few minutes during their show in the spotlight.

Well im also a Old Skool Skater myself I started at 12 yrs old back in 1985 self taught myself from a beginner to a advance Skater from then on well for me I think it's great to see the new generation skate a new style im really impressed with how the evolution of skating evolved I might even just for old times sake put back on my 4 wheeler old Skool Black leather skins skates that I have!!! Lol😂

@@lacyskater7223 .... Nope. They are self-taught. Believe it or not, it doesn't take long to learn to do those things if you have good balance, work ethic and skill. I've been back for nearly 2 years after 20 years off and, at 47, I can already do 70% of what you see here. EASILY!

They are working on it. People don't realize that artistic skating is a sport. I see them at the rink all the time and a few of them will give you that work!

Just keep practicing, learning and asking question. There are also good videos on KZfaq for beginners. What a lot of people don't realize is it doesn't take long to get to that level. You have to be willing to put in the time and the work.

As one who has done this in the early 80's and from time to time still it's something you never stop enjoying. All the moves here we use to do and I'm 57 years old and I can still get down as there were skaters before us that passed on the moves to us. So it's never too late to learn I can guarantee you have a Outstanding time . From the guy who they called.......'Crazy Legs" Macon ga. 👍

@@jamesgordon1520 ... Exactly! There are moves I've seen back then that I haven't seen since. Not saying these kids couldn't learn em. And it's not like we can't learn these moves. I'm 47 and just got back into it myself after a 20-year layoff. I'm still able to pick up moves and do em easily. I thought I was too old when I got back on it but nope.

Hi there. I agree with you on the Olympic deal but you know it's all politics. I love the moves and the combos are off the chain. It's nice to see young men and women on the floor than in the streets. They should promote more of this I would love to see more battles. Keep up spinning those wheels. God bless.

They either have or are trying to incorporate artistic skating into the Olympics. The issue here is, although these guys are good, competition skating is about FORM and balance. These guys aren't practicing for form. They practice to perform moves. Even though they are good, their form isn't up to the standards that competition skating looks for. I know because I see the artistic skaters practicing their before we come in. They are all about form. Look around KZfaq and see some of the clips on these competitive artistic skate events.
