would love to see how this compares to the M340i Touring!

The smoothness is insane with these inline 6 engines in general. It just goes. I’m very happy with my B48 4cyl F36, handles like a dream, zero regrets there. Though I must say the B58 or in general the smoothness and performance with these bmw inline 6cyl engines is on another level.

Just saw your video on the 540i Touring. Had one of these for 18 months and regret getting rid of it. It brought a smile to my face every time and extremely practical as well. Great video. You've convinced my to go looking for another one now. Cheers Gareth

This is the ultimate daily driver

Finding a spot that fits 5 Series in London is also quite challenging :( The parking is the reason why my daily now is Polo GTI, so small so easy :D

Got my M Package G30 540i yesterday. Was doing 120mph an hour and it felt like i was doing 40-60mph. Comfort, speed, sportiness, spacious, nice tech. Cant ask for anything more from BMW. Those germans surely know how to build the ultimate driving machine. I agree with the review, do a muffler delete, nice tint and you really dont need anything else from this car.

Looking for my next car. Your review might have just just sold it to me. Edit: Stage 1 plus a stainless sports exhaust.

Is it quicker then f30 35d ?

I have two issues with this car. First, the seats are hard compared to the comfort seats in my E61 545i. Second, windshield wiper speed at the fastest setting is way too slow. Prepare to go blind in heavy rain. Some other remarks: it isnt that big inside anymore; styling before function. Long people will have to dive to look underneath the rear view mirror at times. Self driving is clunky, but you'll get used to it. The adaptive cruise control makes for a lazy ride. Very relaxed. No Android Auto and Carplay but only on a part of the screen. But its indeed a great car and it has pretty good economy for the number of horses under the bonnet.

Love these but unfortunately the one I drove was a 520d

I prefer the g21, without xdrive! Xdrive sucks.
