Petulant Frenzy @ Yeah, kick ass power from a v8 that will leave them hanging eventually. They are to the point where all they can do is throw that same V8 in everything that they sell to make it look good. I am thinking maybe some kick ass V8 power in a Fiat 500! They can't keep doing this and get by CAFE and EPA regulations forever. At least GM and Ford are looking to the future and preparing. With FIAT, or whoever owns Dodge this year, it's live for today and we will scramble tomorrow. There is a reason why Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram Truck are #3. Maybe the new Chinese owners can make something of this company. No one has to this point. How many owners have they had?

If you've ever driven one of these Durango's they are really smooth machines. Best riding vehicle I've ever ridden in by far. WAY better than the Ford Exploder.

White knuckle! Also went for laguna seasts, rear dvd, multispoke wheels, & tech group. Never thought I'd ever pay 70k for a Dodge, but they have stepped up their game over the past 5-7 years..

Joe, I feel your pain. Ordered mine on 28 Aug and its just been sitting in transit for about 2 weeks now...still don't know when its getting here. I got the white knuckle also, but I went with the regular 5 spoke wheels since they will not stay on there long! CONGRATULATIONS

I have a 2015 Limited with the V6 and love it. I can't imagine the fun factor with another 175HP.

I love the Durango, I wonder if this one comes with a tow brake as well since it can tow more now. I have the V6 version and I love it ! It can tow, it's reliable, it's comfortable and can haul 6 or 7 people comfortable and it's great on gas. What more do you want, this SUV is amazing!

with just a flick of the switch you can easily get 100 lb-ft. & 80 -100 more hp to it. excellent engine/drivetrain. great looking package overall !

yes, that was a proverb, meaning that this engine will make more power and torque without any meaningful changes to it, or any additional hardware installed. so basically a tune, yes. that is what i meant by the expression "flick of a switch".

It’s a JEEP SRT with a 3rd Row. And what’s fucked up is how the PARTS are straight from the SRT parts bin while the $100,000 Trackhawk doesn’t say SRT on it or get this hood, - which it absolutely should have.

Bigtruckseriesreview Motorsports I can't say about the 2018s, but my 2001 was definitely roomier than any Grand Cherokee or Explorer. I'm 6'4" and 300 lbs. Room is very important to me. 😊

Great job with vid, but only 105 on the straight?? I did 105 tonight with my R/T barely trying. Was expecting about 130 - 140 mph.

The styling engineers hit a home run with this design, nothing is overdone, or screams "Boy Racer"....it`s a nice, clean body style that pushes all the right buttons for me. Interior appointments appear to be up to a "next-level" standard as well. This vehicle is now on my short list !

I'd love to see that comparison, but first Ford needs to up the Sport Version 3.5 EcoBoost HP/TQ Tune to match the 2018 Navigators 450HP/500lb or more. You can do it in the Aftermarket for less than $500, but Ford should do it from the Factory! Even as much as I love the Durango, being a Ford guy, I'd be tempted, but still I'd get the Ford! Doesn't change that this Durango is BADASS!

Just wish they were more reliable. I've had my HEMI Durango for 3 years now, and it's been on a tow truck once each year. Water pump, fuel pump, aux pump, backup camera filled with water, Bi-Xenon HID went out (not user replaceable because the entire front bumper assembly has to be removed), sunroof motor dead, motor mount busted, grinding from the driver side front wheel when breaking and turning left. Just a total piece of crap, but lesson learned for breaking my own promise to avoid all things Chrysler 15 years ago (when I sold my POS Jeep), even though I have family who works for them in Detroit.

ckeegan003 I just traded in my 2001 Durango that had 235,000 miles on it. I bought it in 2002 with 15,000 miles on it. I loved every mile of it. I will definitely be getting the Durango SRT. Without question.

They cancelled the 300 SRT a long time ago, but you can buy a 6.4 HEMI Charger today.

Wow so after 70 its actually not that much faster than my 5.7 challenger, watching the speedo from 80-100 was identical. do you think its all that weight? Or does it have different axle ratios??? Or is it because of the awd???

They missed an opportunity for sure. The mistake they made was announcing they would make a Dart SRT.....well if you say you're going to make it, many aren't going to go buy a 1.4 turbo or 2.4, they're going to wait for the (rumored) 300-ish hp, AWD SRT. I waited...liked the 1.4 for what it was, but wasn't going to buy until the SRT was released. Would have been my first SRT product....

I can see why Germany makes very fast cars and Suv's, and they dont seem to be rushing for competition. They have their autobahn and can go over 150mph for groceries, and need to actually know how to drive to get a license. But in the US its just plain silly to have a very fast car, unless you are planning to speed all the time which eventually bad habits will catch up or taking it to the track on the weekend which is fine. But alot of these buyers wont do that. Seems like these cars favor foreign countries.
