I love that you said you don't like to store a lot of things. That is exactly my issue with seasonal decorations, especially with 26 years of military moves, so I tend not to buy much. I never thought to chalk paint the horrid orange & brown on fall decorations. What a great idea! Your home is lovely--I really like your style! Very serene and peaceful.

You can also get an old large framed picture from Goodwill or thrift store and paint it and make a chalkboard!!

Martha is right! Haha! I actually changed it to to 'potty' after this video. You can see the sign from the front entry and I didn't want people to think we were crazy from the get go. I figured that we would give them time to figure that out. Hahaha!

Thank you Marcela! No, I ended up going with Pussywillow by Sherwin Williams. The Yard ended up looking to close to the trim color that there wouldn't have been enough contrast.

Hi Cheryl. Thank you for your kind words. I actually made it from a frame and then added a piece of yardstick in the middle that looks like wood. The handles on the outside are just drawer handles that my husband screwed in for me

Hi Jennifer. The color in our WHOLE house is Pussywillow by Sherwin Williams. I do this so that I can move things around from room to room whenever I feel that something needs a change up. My walls stay neutral and I add color though pillows, curtains and accessories.
