Im a bit late to this party but i had to comment. I purchased a used 2018 Ecosport 2 weeks ago and it is a fantastic bit of kit I have the 998 it isnt the fastest but i am not after speed. It gives a nice ride and yes you do get some little extras I have the titainium spec. I watched a few review vids but i cant fault it apart from you lot in America get the tournea cover and in England you just get a shelf. it has a great driving position, it is tall and when i washed it i had to use some steps to do the roof but it looks great when its polished

Is this a premium model? Are fog lights standard? What about rear camera on basic models?

Im considering the SE 1.0 liter edition. I live in Phoenix, AZ where our summers can be over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Typically small engines = small A/C compressors = bad air conditioning. I owned a 2013 Chevy Spark and even rented a Fiat 500 and both cars have air conditioning that cannot handler Arizona's summers. I currently own a Ford Focus & Ford Escape with both vehicles have excellent A/C. ICE cold, BTW. Have you heard of vehicles having sub-par air conditioning? How does the Ford Ecosport A/C rate? IN Arizona good A/C is VERY Important. --> DJ

... very succesful vehicle in Southamerica ... where is orignaly developed (Brasil) .... comes with a real apare tire hanging in the exterior back door ... I love it ... own the former 2017 model in TITANIUM AT .... very nice vehicle ....

I don't like the way that rear hatch opens. If you are backed up against something you won't get it open. I have seen some reviews that had a spare tire on the back. Where is it on this? NO SPARE? I do like the look and the color though

A spare tire is only available in the base model. The higher trims only get fix-a-flat kits.

I drove the base with the 2.0l and it was A DOG not sure if it was sooo slow because I had my friend and the salesmen in the car at one or the thing is just extremely underpowered. Feels slower than my current car(1996 Toyota rav4). Also not sure how dependable this will be as my car was purchased new and now has 300k and runs like the day I got it.

Hi Kyle, it is an economy compact SUV with lowest overall ownership cost kept in mind. The powertrain is sufficient for operation but not intended for performance and instead focuses on MPG and low cost of production. Hopefully that helps :)

Correct Ben, Most late model vehicles now come with inflation repair kits to save on weight for MPG's.

Lasco Ford " I am aware of that, I am light roadside tech. I see many car makers do the no spare, I seeing the Acura MDX no spare. The roadside packages only let's you tow it to the dealer. They don't let you tow it to a third party, like firestone, or discount tire. That's a big incovience for many customer, that personally deal with, plus most dealers are close on Sunday. Most customer prefer a spare for convience. I would say this is one the first ford vehicles that would not offer a spare on most ecosport models. FORD is still doing a good job in offering spares. I am still interest in this new small crossover. I might be able to stock a spare underneath the storage." LOL!

I looked one over at my local ford dealer, I came away thinking that it is a tiny homely vehicle. Made in India, only 29 mpg on HWY . Personally I would not trade even for my 2013 Ford SE Escape 1.6 Turbo. 35 mpg on Hwy. plus more cargo room, 175 hp and quicker with a real spare and lift hatch. Not to mention my Escape has much better styling. My guess is most buyers will be women.......................

Why does Ford always have to borrow from its European division in order to properly compete. Is Ford lacking originality??? I’m a proud owner of a Ford Escape. And I’ve loved Fords for years. I get the market Ford’s trying to appeal to. But seriously, this is literally the UGLIEST looking vehicle in its class. Push comes to shove. I’d rather buy an HR-V, Jeep Renegade, or even a freaking Chevy Trax! Sorry Ford. Do better with you sub compacts.

Cause it's cheaper for a lot of manufacturers to just transplant a car than to develop a brand new one from the ground up. Especially if they just wanna test the waters on the market.

Well the 2018 on driving with two thousand miles to 2.0 is gutless and sounds like a diesel when everything off is in the vehicle literally a 10 can very shoddy quality not even close to a $30,000 vehicle Ford missed the mark
