2018 2.7 F150 getting 20+ mpg on average. Long trips getting well over 24 mpg. I think you may need to do a reset.

I just bought a 4x2 f-150 stx with the 2.7 ecoboost, 3.55 gears, electronic locking rear differential. It’s a supercab (not crew). Only have 300 miles on it but says I’m averaging right at 19 mpg. Mostly highway miles, but climb a long, steep grade everyday. So far I’m very pleased. I figure once it’s fully broken in, I should get around 20-21 mpg. My good friend gets that in his 2.7 crew cab with 6 speed trans.

2018 2.7L SuperCrew Lariat 4x4, coming back from Minneapolis I got 26 mpg with the A/C on for 200 miles. Around 18-21 short tripping to work 6 miles and driving around town.

The on board mpg calculator can’t be used for long periods and for accuracy because when your stopped or just letting it warm up, your getting 0 miles per gallon. Therefore it continuously is lowering the average on your dash. Remember that

I have the same truck( but with the supercab and 6'5" bed) and avg 17.8 mpg around the city and we are hilly with narrow roads. I believe your problem is having it in "Sport Mode" too much. The only time I use it is for the acceleration when pulling onto the highway, but I turn it off once I'm into the flow of traffic.

Hard to believe you’re “laying off the pedal” when all you talk about is how fast you like to drive and how fast the truck is and how it’s a beast and that you can’t wait to get the tune on it. If you’re truly averaging 14.6 mpg than there is something terribly wrong. We have a 17’ expedition with the 3.5 ecoboost and my wife drives it like she stole it and we average 17.5.

Hold traction control button for 10-15 seconds and cuts advance trac off. The tires will definitely open up on you lol

I have the same truck in ingot silver with the 3:55 electronic rear end and I am getting 23mpg with mostly freeway driving on eco mode (as long I keep my foot out of the turbo's) which is hard to do because it's a FAST truck with the ecoboost

I’m thinking that you have the mid year model. Ford put out a mid year model that had a completely different map smaller injectors and smaller back housings on the turbos. Which creates more bottom end power from a dig but they tuned the truck to only produces 6-8 psi depending on elevation. Where as the the 2018 3/4 puts own 18 lbs of boost starting at 2500

I get the same mpg in my 2018 2.7 because my drive to work is all in town and only 2 miles long in a hilly area.

At 70 with the cruise control I average 24.6 mpg At 65 with the cruise control I average 26.0 mpg At 55 with the cruise control I average 29.0 mpg In the city I average 21.0 mpg. I have a 2018 STX 4x4 supercrew with the 2.7L ecoboost

Somethings wrong or your heavy on the gas I have a EB 2.7 4x4 crew cab with 2 1/2 level with 295 70 18. Equal to 34's and I still get 17 around town 19-21 highway

I don't get it, I'm 65 and drive like it. I'm averaging 12.8 city and 18 hwy. On long trips I have managed 23.6 best mpg and tag is letting it coast and drop speed going uphill. 2018 2.7 eco auto trans. 255 electric diff and 20" tires. Ford tells me it's normal, 3-different dealerships. WTF? How are the rest of you getting 20+ in town???

I have the same truck, except mines 4wd. I was averaging 20 MPG, then I put a soft roll up bed cover on and am averaging 22 MPG. I’m not sure what you’re doing wrong lol.

I've been getting 22.3 on my 3.5L

I usually drive the truck pretty fast...that explains it.

I get 20 city on mine and it’s lifted on 305/45’s. I think you’re a little rough on yours 😂

2019 2.7 and I'm pulling 18.9mpg with a heavy foot. My question is how is my 2012 6.7L still pulling better mpg than your quarter ton. Guess that's why you dont ever buy a leased vehicle. To each their own though.

Why don't you use eco mode? it's better especially when you don't use it for much towing

I put the k an n air filter in and removed the air restrictors as I call them right after the air filter. I have the 2018 2.7 eb 3.55 supercrew sport 20” factory wheels and I get about 28 in town and highway. No joke. This truck does way better than it is rated at. You have something wrong or you are HARD on your truck when I am hard on mine it only goes down to 18 at worst

My 2020 2.7 gets 22.5 and ive driven her 25k mikes

I get about 15 mpg

I'm getting 21mpg on my 2019

I am constantly on the gas peddle because who doesn't love the sound of Turbos and I average 20MPG so there is something wrong with your truck.

That’s terrible mileage for an eco boost. Mine is steady 20+ mpg. I definitely don’t drive like a pussy
