Whats up guys just wanted to see how truck look leveled from the rear so i remove rear blocks. Hope you guys like the video and subscribe thanks.

Thanks for the video! I just completed this free mod on my 2017 F150. Took about 3 hours because I almost dropped the truck when I removed the U-bolts and then decided to lower the rear diff to remove the blocks. If I didn't use jack stands I would have been in big trouble. By lifting the truck using the rear diff, make sure you remove the rear wheels first. That way the hubs can be lowered enough to allow you to take out the blocks.

Do you mean that you bought a 2 1/4" leveling kit? I'm new to trucks, but isn't that the opposite of removing rear blocks to lower the rear a little? I thought a leveling kit only raised the front end to match the high rear.

You can do a reverse leveling kit like I did I bought ford performance 2 inch shackles and removed 4x4 rear blocks

I removed the blocks from 23' Rattler the same way, but added stands under the frame for safety. No problems, springs went right back into place

I did lowering shackles and and removed rear block too get it almost leveled it was like half in difference.

Did you have any issue using the 4x4 U-Bolts after removing the blocks ? Like running out of Thread ? Also any issues with Pin Alignment in a forward way ? I see that they didn't align sideways initially and you hammered it to click, but I'm afraid of the Leaf pins being a little bit forward than the wholes at the axis. OMG my way to explain this is very confusing sorry.

I didn't have any issues using 4x4 u bolts but they are cheap to buy the 2wd version so they won't be all long. And no issues at all had it like that for past 20k I even added the ford performance lowering shackles already.

I went to remove mine and add a 2" block, but couldn't tell if the block was bolted thru the upper leaf and the u-bolt plate (on top). Nice to see here the block is simply sitting there nested only.

I had the OEM rear 4x4 blocks installed with my front 2” Level kit on my 2WD f150 and it sits like a stock 4x4 F150. But I’m taking the rear blocks out so it sits level. Don’t care too much for the rake. Thought it would have been more leveled out.

Yea it should leveled out since 2wd come lower from front just with the front leveling kit it should of leveled but ones your added rear stock blocks you got that rake.

It didn't look like the block was tapered, did you have any driveline vibration after? Did you have to correct the driveshaft angle? Beautiful truck, great video, thanks so much I have a 2019 and it just makes it into my garage. I need a canopy on it and I don't think it will make the garage with the canopy

No driveline vibration. And no need for driveshaft angle unless you go more then 1.5" lower. Yea this things are huge dont fit in my garage either.

If you do the shackles then you need to shim the rear end and the rear of the transmission. I believe all the shims you need come in the Ford Performance kit.

I’m planning on doing this for my 2019 f-150. It has a 2.50 front inch leveling kit installed but i was reading some people said to buy new u bolts. Would I have to do the new u bolts if I have 4 wheel drive and 40k miles?

So I have the Ground Force 2” lowering shackle and it didn’t drop it enough for me... do you think if I did this it would make the truck too low in the rear?

If you have a 4x4 it should lower it about 1inch and quarter. Doesn't the shackle you bought have 2 different option for lowering.

The GF lowering shackles alone should give you about a 1.5 to 1.75" drop. They only have one height setting unlike the Crown or Maxtrac shackles. Removing the rear block will give you about another 1 - 1.25". Go measure your ground to fender heights and see what the #'s say. By removing the block, you should be about perfectly level on the driver's side, but the passenger side might sit just slightly lower in the rear than the front. It probably won't be noticeable unless you really study it.

Hey man I did the exact same thing on the exact same truck and my entire axle needed to be moved for about 1/2 inch to align the lead spring. Basically my leaf spring need to come backwards not side to side like yours.

Iam running 20×10 -13 offset on 275 55 20 barely rubs when you turn all the way

Why were the blocks installed in the first place in the rear? I’m thinking of leveling the front on my 14 f150 so I can get bigger tires. The shop said the rear would have to be raised 1 inch. I don’t think so. The rear is already raised, the front is the problem...right? Nice looking truck. Remove the lift on the silver one in the rear.

Blocks come factory on 4x4. You don't need rear blocks for leveling kit. Thanks and we might do a front leveling kit on silver one.

Correct. If you’re wanting to run bigger tires you’ll want to leave the rear block in and add a leveling spacer to the front in order to clear those larger tire specs. Most leveling kits will add a 2-2.5 inch spacer to the front and a 1 inch block to put on top of the current rear block (lifting the rear another inch). That’s normal.

I did a rough country 2 level kit on my 2021 f150 and I still have a slight rake. I don’t want to mess with my front suspencion anymore and I do like the way it sits with the BFG KO2 “34” but again that back sucks!! I’m really considering doing this modification. My only concern right now is the ride quality after you removed the block. Does it ride better or worse? Thanks for sharing this information and video with us.

Yea you can do it yourself tho. Remove the wheel and add 2 thick washers to the 10,12,and 2oclock positioned studs, then replace tire. 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾

They are 20x10 -13 offset with 275 55 20 barely any rub when I turn all the way going up driveway

No alignment needed unless you do something to the front suspension. Removing the blocks in the rear will not cause any change.

When putting everything back together, how much pound feet of torque do you need to torque down the bolts back very interested in doing this myself. Don’t want to have it too tight and cause too much squeaking and noises and I don’t want it to be too loose to where it falls apart down the road.🤣

I did 100 pounds feet of torque. Never got any squeaking or noises and didn't feel a difference on ride quality.

It's been some time now, have you had any issues with hitting the bump stops, or have you towed anything?

No issues at all and I haven't hit bump stops when towing but I have only tow like 3000 pounds.

I believe the issue would not be towing itself, but payload or tongue weight

I've had mine out of my 2019 super crew 5.5' box for a three years now, rides the exact same (have to re-aim the headlights) and I haul two 1200cc bikes a lot, I also tow a 9,000 lb fifth wheel. I have airbags too, so maybe not a fair statement because I can air up to whatever height I want, but it rides the same with or without the blocks

Thanks and wheels are 20x10 -12 offset with 275 55 20 tires

I'm not looking to hate, but come on dude, you're going to get someone hurt or their truck damaged with this video. You don't loosen or remove U-bolts from a truck while it's still on the ground. Do it the right way. Jack it up (from the frame, not the leaf spring like in the video) and rest it on jack stands. Support the rear diff with a jack and do your thing. U bolts get tightened in an 'X' pattern to 98 ft lbs. Ideally, you should get new U bolts / nuts as those threads stretch. You can get 2wd U-bolts from the dealer and they will be the correct length.

Yea i know what you mean at the moment i didn't think how to remove them but yea its dangerous if some one does it downhill or doesn't align Jack right or does it to high.

Hahaha I do have a car and I just hated the rake this trucks have and I work a a tire place and saw how bad front leveling kits mess up your front suspension.
