This CRV is really stunning I love this so much. My only concern is the removal of the gear lever, is that really reliable compared to having a physical gear lever... and the feel of having a gear lever and hand brake lever arghhh, its feels so wrong without them.

It's good that you mention that it is not all about HP or horses because Torque is as important considering the Philippines has flooding in most urban areas, uphill roads, and has one of the worst traffics in the world (which makes the extra HP useless).

Nice Honda CR-V. Looking at some SUV’s here in Kanada. British Columbia we have Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain Diesels. Only 5 seaters but they both have the 1.6cdi turbo diesel 138bhp. 240ft lbs torque. GMC only has 6 spd auto and has the new pull switch automatic transmission control. Chevrolet EQUINOX Has kept the ubiquitous floor mounted shifter that hangs on. Would love the experience of having more than one or two diesel powered vehicles to choose from. VW diesel scandal sure screwed the market completely for oil burning engines in anything other than a pick up truck. Great job reviewing the CRV diesel! Salamat.

The Honda CRV has been a "top tier" vehicle ever since. For a 2M price tag and using a 1.6l diesel engine, it will find tough competition among lower priced, full size SUVs with bigger size diesel engines.

For me, this car is worth every peso!

We have a 2018 Honda CR-V V 1.6 Diesel FWD. Feels great to drive on twisty roads when using paddle shifters. Superior engine response, and fuel economy is very good. And of course very comfortable compared to bigger SUV.

I'm an overseas Pinoy for more than 30 years and I guess I've been living in a cave for not knowing the right places to check out. Goodbye top gear, Hello auto deal PH. I guess I'll have to personally ask for the thigh support for the driver's seat for comfortable long drives. Overall, it's one of the best auto review in the country so far noted with some geek and gaming pop culture.

It was a great review of Honda CRV Sx. It was very personal and very entertaining. I myself am a very satisfied and proud owner of this top of the line variant of Honda CRV! It's my first Honda car and I enjoy the comfort it has. My car's name is "Olive" because it's dark metallic olive. During daylight, it's dark olive; but when surroundings become dark, it's black. I also invested the top of the line clear premium tint of V Cool which boasts of 98% heat rejection.

The new 5th generation of crv comes with 7 seaters. It is not offered manual transmission. the 5th generation crv comes with diesel not as old crv.

My less than a month old CRV suddenly died while driving. The vehicle won't stop for about 10-20 seconds and there was total power failure (while driving!) Luckily, nothing was in front of me or else I would have ran over pedestrians or vehicles and I couldn't do anything about it. I learned about several cases similar to mine including a woman who got the top of the line CRV. Hers also just stopped (tumirik) and it was about a month old. Her case got aired in Tulfo's TV program. Great job, Honda!
