the "next gen" actually started a couple of years ago. belinda bencic got into the top 10 a couple of years ago as an 18 year old. then last year jelena ostapenko and daria kasatkina started making noise. ostapenko won the french open, but before that kastakina and ostapenko played in the finals at the volvo car open with kasatkina winning. now, naomi osaka is joining in the mix. without a doubt, there is a core of 20 year old players who are ready to take the wta by storm. naomi may be the late bloomer but i like her potential the most. she has the most athletic game of them all.

Osaka is very solid. She has one of the best forehands I ve ever seen on a female player and her backhand can be deadly as well. I believe she could even challenge Serena at her best, whose power is simply greater than any other WTA player.

Morgan Bmgtow she was tired from that marathon match with Venus which was mentally and emotionally and physically draining. They played over 3 hours and you could tell she had no energy nor did she play with any energy not to mention it was a long tournament for her and the pressure was on her to win.
