The funny thing is both the ftr and nrr are rated at approx 26000 lbS. Since the Nrr is a lighter truck you can legally haul more load even though the tires brakes are less beefy. Also I think they have the same engine. Go figure... maybe the final rear end is geared lower

The chassis name FTR was in the past made for 7 ton trucks which is and was a powerful truck. But now they have allocated the chassis name FTR to the 5 ton trucks. Which is weaker and not liked that much

For the 2020 model, a new larger 6.6 gas engine is about to be offered. It's got mini water jackets between each cylinder so it will run cooler when you use propane LPG high 104 octane fuel. It's possible the smallee Isuzu will use the 464 lbs feet of torque 6.6 liter gasser, with an even larger 7.1 to 7.4 liter gas V8 for the big FTR, with about 500 lbs feet of torque. New details will be revealed July 9, 2019.
