The competition is a three-night event featuring over 50 contestants in six divisions - Junior I, Junior II, Non-Pro, Pro, Senior and Masters. Wow! Fantastic Shag dancing! Truly outstanding performance. You both look amazing. Personally, I feel you both need to be competing in the upper divisions. Congratulations on winning the Junior 1 Division!

My father is from Hamlet and he was in the Navy for 26 years. He met and married my mother in Hawaii in 1952 (she is from NJ). My grandad worked on the Seaboard Railroad in Hamlet (it was their hub). I was in the Navy myself for 22 years. Two of my uncles helped build the model railroad setup in the basement of the Hamlet railroad station museum. CWO4, USN, Ret, 73-95.

Whatever this is, it looks good on this young couple. Their dress is great. She’s pretty .. always smiling. He’s handsome. I say they get married. *Better finish 8th grade first!

She’s great, but you can tell his dad told him to make constant eye contact with the judges. Maybe he should relax and enjoy the dance.
