For the 2018 model year, Maserati has facelifted the Ghibli to keep it fresh. We think the new front fascia looks great, though the rear design still leaves a lot to be desired. Our test model was the top-range Ghibli S Q4, which is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo Ferrari-built V6 producing 424 horsepower. Power is sent out to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel-drive is also available. As optioned, our GranLusso test car priced out at $92,180, which isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Certain bits of the interior, like the wonderful silk seats, feel like they are worth every bit of the nearly six-figure price tag. Other parts, like the awkward shifter and shared FCA switches, can feel cheap. Maserati will look to correct some of these issues, like the wonky shifter, in the 2019 model year. So is the Maserati Ghibli worth its price tag? Or should you stick with a more conventional German option?
