mmm.. I've driven S500 (2017), I guess there is no much difference with the S560 several times, yeah honestly I haven't driven it at full speed like 200+ km/h mostly because here in my country the highway speed can be max 140 km/h - but lets say i've driven it with no more then 200 km/h and the noise is pretty low - especially if u compare it with other car. But after all.. this is like the top model of Benz or at least the most luxarious one. It's S-Class, its not like some Ford Fiesta, haha. Also most likely you'll listen music when u're driving. Doesn't matter if the volume is going to be low, mid or high ..this also would help with the outside noise.

So the new 560 range, has the 4.0 V8 BITURBO engine. So it's basically a lower powered version of the AMG 63 engine?? (And also not hand built by one AMG builder). Kind of makes the AMG 63 engines feel less premium, perhaps they should have made this engine NA instead. (Still a lovely car though).

Daniel Sadjadian You can also turn this into a S63 with an Ecu tune and save you a lot of money than to buy a S63.

No you can't turn it into a S63 engine because it has totally different components.

63 dosent mean it has a 6.3L engine , there are other AMG´s with "AMG 63" logos but they have 4.0 , 5,5 and 6,3 L engines ...

I know that. I used the term "AMG 63 engine" to note the top end AMG V8 engine, which is currently the 4.0 V8 BITURBO engine.

Same Engine as the s63, c63, e63 and amg gt engine. The AMG GT family has a small modification in the oil pan, but they are all the same engine. The w222 pre facelift s600 and the s65 both had the same v12 engine.

Ich finde es komisch, dass Mercedes bzw AMG ihren 3982 ccm Bi-Turbo V8 in beinahe jeden KFZ verwenden müssen welches etwas teurer ist. Ich glaube inzwischen gibt es eh nur mehr den 2 Liter zwerg welcher von 180-380 PS reicht zb A160/80 bis A45 AMG und halt in den ganzen C klassen und E klassen, dann noch den 2996 ccm V6 welcher auch in den C klassen und basis S klassen verwendet wird, den 4 liter v8 bi turbo und noch für die ganze teuren den 6 Liter V12 Bi Turbo.. Traurig, dass Mercedes so billig wie mäglich produzieren muss. Früher gab es für jedes einzelne KFZ nen eigenen Motor! Ein CL 350 hatte auch 3,5L und ein CL 500 hatte auch 5L hubraum! Wenn damals 63 oder 32 AMG draufstand hatten die Dinger auch noch gut 6,2 Liter bzw 3,2 Liter! Auch die 55er AMGs hatten alle den 5,5er im einsatz! Inzwischen ist das nur noch augenauswischerei... mehr nicht!

The S500(2014) of my father runs easy 270, but this was nearly a real S500 (4600ccm). This is also not an S560 (4000ccm)...I can not understand, what Merc is doing with the traditional V8 engines...
