Seemed like an exhibition game, Michigan was trying different things, and Patterson didn't run the whole game. It seems they were showing to the world that Patterson could win the game just by throwing the football.

Definitely. Kind of hard to get a team riled up for Rutgers. They have to survive Indiana and avoid any major injuries (Hence why Patterson never ran vs Rutgers). They have to put them away early to get the second stringers in. Have to be at 100% for OSU.

OSU only scored so much because 1. they recoverd a TD in the endzone. 2. they got the ball back not long after with like 20 yards left. I also think the freshmen while he played great at first , they figured him out now that they have had a chance to see him more. MSU's offense is not really that great so the defense is difficult to tell. I don't think OSU is as good as the score indicated just yet. they do look a little better but Michigan should beat them

Marc Laporte Most people won’t remember when Rutgers and ray Rice were ranked #2 in the country back in the mid 2000s. Other than that they’ve always been garbage.

@@slimj091 They let up an 80 yard touchdown run and 2 wildcat runs for over 10 yards. It was a good game as a learning curve on how to stop certain plays. Not really sure how you didn't understand that.

The 80 yarder mostly happened because Kinnel was playing Mettelus' position and Hawkins was in playing Kinnel's spot. Kinnel blew his assignment and I'd be willing to wager it was due to inexperience playing in the other safety spot.
