The reset tip is GOLDEN! You def gotta hold both buttons for a full 6-8 seconds just like he said. If the vehicle has ever been programmed to another door you have to reset it or it won't program.

I drive a 2017 BMW m240i and this is the ONLY programming method that worked for me. The garage door opener is an Overhead Door Legacy model from 2006.
