The Pitch is designed for both new and experienced riders who want a bike with real off-road capability at an affordable price tag. The simple-yet-effective 27.5" hardtail frame makes light work of the climbs, and provides an agile & thrilling ride on singletrack descents. In this range review, we take a closer look at what the bikes in the Specialized Pitch range have to offer.
For 2018, the Pitch has had a complete overhaul, with a brand-new frame, revised geometry, an all-new ‘Expert’ model, and the addition of a women’s range. In total there are eight bikes, starting with the entry level Pitch priced at £400.00, followed by the Pitch Sport, then the Pitch Comp, and finally the £599.00 Pitch Expert, plus the four corresponding women’s specific models.

Got the comp 2 rides in love it the bike just wants more. Complaints online about it being too heavy ? Bollox ... this bike is solid and will deal with everything you throw at it , i cant wait to ride it again

Well i myself got the pitch and my brother got the marlin. What we noticed was that the trek was lighter, had better brakes and at the beginning had better suspension. The pitch did better on trails and felt more sturdy. It’s lock out suspension is really helpful. I would go with the pitch

Wish they made these a little higher end, this is a $500-$875 bike with a gap to $1250 starting for the Fuse, wish I could get a 1X Pitch with good brakes and a longer travel front fork.

It is a shame there isn't something to fill that gap. There is however a Fuse at £999 that may be worth a look, check it out on Specialized's website

Hi Bill, the orange Pitch is a Small, the black and also yellow Pitch Sports are a Large, and the womens version is a Medium. Hope this helps!

Hi, the Pitch has 27.5 inch wheels. It has now been incorporated into the Rockhopper range for 2021 though so look out for a 27.5 Rockhopper if you're looking for a new Pitch.

Hi Elliot, this bike is designed more for entry level trail and leisure riding, some of the components are not made for the stress of being jumped. Yes you can ride on jumps. I got one for Christmas and have taken it on large jumps it is a very sturdy bike

what difference does a pitch sport have to the normal pitch

Hi Ben, there are a few differences in spec between the two. Although both have mechanical disc brakes, the sport has Shimano M375 which are an upgrade over the Radius ones on the Pitch. Also you get slightly better gearing on the sport. One of the main differences is in the suspension fork, where you get Multi Circuit Damping on the Sport, this offers better performance and a lock out feature for riding on the road and smooth trails. I have both but I do recommend the pitch sport if you are new I also like it because it is very strong and it is just a bike that you can just send it on

death shadow Is the pitch light and good for wheelies? Or is the rock hopper better baring in mind I’ll change the tyres forks seat and grips

@@itzmag1111 the pitch sport has very bad suspension but it is lightweight and it is good for wheelies but for long and good wheelies I recommend a full suspension the tires are pretty decent but to me the grips are very good

The biggest mistake that specialized did was they bend the top tube of their small size pitch models that makes the bikes ugly to look at...

Francis navarro you understand there are enthusiasts that like this model that may be just 5 feet tall ? Their inseam can use all the help they can get.
