2018 Sportsman 570 CV Axle replacement

CV axle replacement 2018 Polaris sportsman 570 EPS. The Polaris breaks my heart/wallet again, This machine has roughly 500 miles on it and this is the first time I have ever replaced a CV axle on one of these. Really curious how this sportsman is going to hold up. I bought it new and this is the first “‘major repair” I’m sure the boot got messed up by a stick or something but expected it to last longer. Feel free to leave a comment of what you would like to see in future videos and what I can do to improve, thanks.

Took the front out first on the arm and now the back is just free spinning gonna try and put the front back in then take the back out then the front out.

Your talking about the bolts on the A arm? Try snugging up the front then getting the back one out and then the back, I messed with it for a while when I did it. You will get it👍🏻

How'd that axel hold up? I need to replace mine on my 2017 sportsman but am hesitant to trust an $80 axel from amazon (same company as yours)

I have out about 300 miles on it and no issues so far. I actually just ordered another one for the other side! No complaints for the price.

@@kaseyhair6779 HEY UPDATE!! Just a heads up I was tightening the nut on the end of the axle shaft while reassembling my quad and I was using the 1/2” impact and totally stripped out the nut and threads on the shaft. Do not over tighten this thing or you will have a bad time!!

@@wheelinndealin unfortunately i have to hand crank everything, so i wont be using an impact...just good ol' elbow grease and a torque wrench 😁...but thanks for the warning!

Just use a screwdriver to pry out the cv axle. Much easier than making a puller.

Yeah this ended up working out for me cause I had a welder handy probably only took 20 min to put it together, in a jam maybe I’ll try that next time if I’m on a trail or something

@@wheelinndealin Really anything you could jam up in there to break the tension on the c-clip would work. Those pickle forks make for a pretty good wedge too.
