First released in 2005, the Suzuki DRZ400SM has been a go-to motorcycle for those that want their Supermoto fix, without breaking the bank.
Powered by a punchy 398cc single-cylinder motor, the DRZ400SM has more than enough stick in it to make quick work of your commute or engage in some playful wheelies, should the opportunity arise.
For Suzuki, the DRZ400SM has been a staple in their lineup since 2005 - although it mysteriously disappeared from Suzuki's offerings from 2009 to 2014.
Built on the affordable and robust DRZ400 Dual-Sport platform, the SM model comes equipped with an upgraded 47mm Showa fork, 17-inch wire-spoke wheels and other street-wise options to round out this Supermoto machine.

I had one of these a few years ago, the bike I wish I hadn't traded. They no longer import them to the U.K. Great little bike.

I just bought the same bike. There's so much to love about it but after years on a DR650, I just wish the gearing was wider.

Nice! Wish I found your channel sooner. I live in a place with similar roads and lane splitting is legal so I found these vids really useful when it comes to thinking about my next commuter bike purchase.

I don't know if lane splitting is legal in Ontario Canada.....( I did it all the time in Japan and Indonesia ) ....But in Canada I have experienced drivers literally changing lanes to try and hit me. Once at 80 mph but 3 or 4 times I was hit by cars who deliberately turned into me including once from behind in stop and go traffic.Be careful out there folks

I had one when they came out, takes some money to get it setup right. The suspension and engine are way to soft out of the box.

I find my DRZ400sm miserable at 75mph or over. Love it around town though.

Yes, high fwy speeds are not where the DRZ400SM shines, though the engine is capable.

With a smaller rear sprocket it improves the highway capability a lot and you don't lose too much power either especially if you do the usual mods like 3X3 airbox, rejetting and aftermarket exhaust.
