The Citadel Bulldogs (4-5) traveled to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL to face the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0).

The Citadel should be enormously proud of their performance in this game. Coming in to this match-up, not a single team had been within two touchdowns of Alabama at halftime all season, much less tied. Thus, you could argue that The Citadel gave Alabama their most competitive game to this point in the season. The talent disparity could hardly have been more enormous - The Citadel is a SOCON school with only 2300 students and it does not give nearly as many athletic scholarships as Alabama - yet they played with all the guts you'd expect from a military academy.

It didn't hurt the Citadel that this was a "trap game" for Bama, coming between two more powerful opponents.

Citadel could probably beat a few FBS team. They do a good job executing their offense, and their running back has very good size, speed, and explosiveness. I was legitimately worried for a while.

Brandon O’Tinger that play package is really good especially if players lack position based athletism

You should have been worried! This teams fixing to lose soon! They think they to good and can't be be beat! A loss is creeping in! Might be time to do some more worrying! Something is not right with this team! Every year they lose one I have this feeling and right after........... Bingo! they lose! Get ready for it because it is coming! That citadel game proved they do have weaknesses!

No they won't, they only get motivated because bama is the best team in collage football.. so they try to play their best... that happens to all of the top rank teams

the citadel of SC is a very discipline team...they are USMC cadets

When I heard they were a triple option team, I was worried sick all week. Teams in the ACC eventually got a handle on it after seeing Georgia Tech run it for the last 11 years, but when a team only faces it occasionally, it creates enormous problems.

Anfernee Jennings finally got him one! He's been trying all year long to scoop up the ball and score a touchdown, and he finally got a big one! Way to go Anfernee! Glad y'all finally woke up Crimson Brothers! Y'all got big work ahead, and a championship to win! And, I'm hoping and praying that Damien Harris recovers soon and very well, and all the rest of the injured Crimson Brothers! ROLL TIDE ANYWAY AND ALWAYS!
