Croatia take on France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final in Moscow, however it is not the first time these nations have clashed in major competition. UEFA.tv takes you back to the last competitive fixture between the two sides in the group stages of EURO 2004. A star-studded France side, boasting Zidane, Vieira and Henry took on a Croatia side featuring Ivica Olić, who will be involved in Sunday's World Cup Final as Croatian Assistant Manager. The match ended all-square, but who will emerge as World Cup champions in Moscow?

Clearly one of the most unfair hand touch in football history 5:36 I remember it 15 years ago and I still do and will never forget cause it still kinda hurts to see injustice on that level of professional sport.. Someone seems bitter... I don't think France has a love story with referees, we had bad calls to our benefits, or the other way around too... Like pretty much everyone else. It's tough Croatia did not reach its first world cup, but there will be another shot someday. France did not win a world cup for 60 years before wins in 98 and 18, were the referees in love then ? Being desapointing is understandable though, sincerly, I hope Croatia wins a title someday, but don't just lie like dat to feel better, world cup won't just change side because of u doing it.

I still remember that last minute miss by Ivica Mornar, a sitter.... How about Tudor in this game, the guy buried us, basically scored not one but TWO own goals. Unbelievable. This was such a bizzare game and a weird Croatian team lead by a Metusalem Otto Barić, nicknamed Otto Idiotto, who came to the tournament pretty much playing 19th century tactics and formations lol. As always, we messed up the first (easy) game of the tournament and then had to pull chestnuts out of fire in the following two, against greater opponents. A big Controversy was Otto not taking a massively talented 18year old wunderkind, Niko Kranjčar, to the tournament. Interesting how Niko's father, Cico Kranjčar, would make his son the star of the team when he took over Croatia after this EURO, but made the same mistake, by snubbing another great youngster, Luka Modrić.
