Good review you have answered my query regarding the fairing. I changed from a 1050 to the 690 and love riding it

Has anyone not profiting from it reviewed that fairing? Way too much money to simply gamble on for me...like $1300ish

I’ve been thinking about changing my 450 for something more road capable and less maintenance for a few months, in all the hype about the 790 R and Tenere, somehow the 690 slipped under the radar. Think this is the one, looks perfect for me. Been enjoying your vids, some really good info. Cheers mate 👍

I've been looking at it but as you say, pricey. I had cruise on my previous bike and it was great. This bike is proving to be a good touring bike as well as a great dual sport. I reckon I will be getting it and really getting the most out of touring.

Nice video mate. I was between 790 and 690 just like you. However end up with 790 and I’m pretty happy. However when it comes down to off-road I think I should’ve go with 690. Now I am thinking to either add 500 exc or trade 790 for 690. Cheers!

Legend review, I have wanted to get something like this as I get pretty bad carpul tunnel problems with my right arm. Also if it cuts out the ABS bonus. Cheers
@lonewolfadventures26763 жыл бұрын
The cruise control doesn’t cut out the abs. You need the abs dongle.

How much right hand turning radius did you lose from the rade tower moving the main harness? I had to bring out my steering stop out quite a ways to avoid pinching the harness.

looking at getting a cfmoto 800mt wich has the new KTM 790 engine wich has been updated and had all its old problems fixed thort id see what lighter bikes their was with cruise control and their seems to be none without needing to manually install this system the cf moto 800mt is a adventure bike that has 95hp and heated seats grips cruise control tire pressure monitors and a few other things stock for $14500 AUD id like a husky 701 LR but its an extra 4k and dosnt seem as good for long rides besides the better suspension and weighing less not sure what to do tbh but the new CFmoto 800mt is apparently the 3rd best selling adventure bike in australia and barely has any major issues just small silly things

Great video; how comfortable is this bike for long road rides? I do prefer this ine over the 790 Adventure R but sometimes I like making long trips on road

Get the Seat Concepts XL Seat and all is good. It’s wide at the back but narrow at the front for aggressive riding.

How do I just know that the capped off connector needed for this install is the exact same one needed for the many claim essential ABS Dongle....you know the one that allows you turn off abs only on rear brake for safe offload riding? IS this the same connect point? If so is their a multi adapter pigtail that allows both add ons??
@lonewolfadventures26763 жыл бұрын
Correct mate. When you order the cruise it asks weather you have the abs dongle or not. If so they sell you a adapter for both to plug in. I have the abs dongle as well and no dramas at all with the piggy back adapter.
@ride4adventure3 жыл бұрын
Also, quick question, you mentioned you have a piggy back dongle. Is that to keep the TC and ABS off (Rally mode) when you turn off the iginition or is it the fueling dongle to make the bike run with a richer fuel mix? Either way, what did you notice and was it worth it?
@lonewolfadventures26763 жыл бұрын
I have the off road dongle which yes keeps the settings you choose but with that you loose full abs. Because the off road dongle and cruise control both plug into the same fitting, MC Cruise gives you a a plug that allows you to plug both in like a double adaptor. I also just installed the fuel dongle which you get from adventure bike components which riches up the bottom end as they run a bit lean. Went for first ride yesterday and noticed a big improvement in bottom end. Runs smoother and also runs cooler. A must have I think if you do an air box mod.
@ride4adventure3 жыл бұрын
@@lonewolfadventures2676 Thanks, yep the heat seems a bit of an issue in the slow stuff but I was dubious if it works so well with our higher octane fuel than in the US. I will give the off road dongle a miss as I am happy to manually select when i turn off TC & ABS. Is the fuel dongle a seperate plug to the cruise so I don't need the double adapter plug? Just confirming.
@lonewolfadventures26763 жыл бұрын
@@ride4adventure the fuel dongle plugs into a totally different plug so no need. 👍 another way to keep your settings without the dongle is to just switch your bile off at the kill switch not the key and it will keep your settings. As long as your not stopping for to long as the light will stay on.
@ride4adventure3 жыл бұрын
@@lonewolfadventures2676 thanks for the clarification. I do just use the kill switch for short stops so I will live with that for now. Cheers for your help and thanks for the vids.

may i install mc cruise with ktm abs dongle? will it work with abs dongle? it sounds like it installs in same plug as ktm abs dongle.
@lonewolfadventures26763 жыл бұрын
When you order the cruise it asks you if you use a abs dongle or not. I do and they just send you an adaptor that basically turns the plug into a double adaptor.
