Some of you requested a Nala 2019 ranking, but I doubt I will make one. What make Disney songs special and different to me is that they are sung by characters, which make them relatable and "real". The way they arranged TLK new songs made them extremely pop-ish and regular today's songs to me, so it's basically just background pop songs to my ears, and it's hard to make a judgement between voices for such kind of songs for me. Sorry about this!

I’m really happy to see a new ranking from yours, it’s always a delightful experience. I’m not so familiar with Jasmine’s voices, but your comments were really well written and complex and I could see what you were saying. Also, kuddos for bringing to the table, once again, the difference between passion and acting, between commitment and embodiment. Many people (me included) confuse both and don’t really appreciate the complexity of some singers that bring nuance to the character, and that’s a shame^^ Thanks for the amazing ranking, once again :D

Good list. Surprising myself with agreeing that the Swedish one is not one of my personal favorites, and while her part was good, she definitely wouldn't have made a top 15 for me. Not sure if I would've placed the Norwegian as the first if I made my own ranking (not sure which dub I like the most for that either), but I agree that she is a good Jasmine, and, like you, I appreciate the hint of of Kruse in AWNW rendition. The one Jasmine I've kept coming back to is the Brazilian Portuguese as I simply love her "speechless".

I can feel the peasantry coming with flaming torches and pitchforks in order to have your head on a silver place because of your profane move of placing Alexándra that low! You're free to listen to "The Mob Song" now... I couldn't agree more on Martina being "old", and not in terms of her vocals per se, but her attitude when interpretating the character. And YEAH, indeed Karui reminds of Louise, especially by how she goes up a little bit "shouting like" when doing higher last notes! Mhm, unfortunately I still can't hear something more than casual in Julia's performance: listening to her she resembles of someone trying not to care about neighbors when singing in a flat. 😕 I can definitely see why others always put apart Maja, but fortunately I can see how she brought to life Jasmine's moony and perky side behind her voice quality that may be not the most appropriate one. I have to admit that seeing Hiba, my favourite Jasmine, at 14th was like a punch in the gut... Oh, nice, Maria! I have been having (oh, no, verbs) a kind of twisted relationship with her: in fact at first listenings I was amazed by the outrage she plays with to directly give a slap on the audience's cheeks and spout "Hey, I'm here and I won't meet any compromise, but I'll go and claim what is legitimately mine"... But then all my excitement for her dropped for apparently no reason and I started to notice plain notes, excessive shouting in some parts... Lovely ranking, btw, I enjoyed reading your opinion even if I didn't agree with some of them! 🙃

Whenever I watch your rankings, I feel like they are like official rankings from Disney. Warning: Long Speechless is one of the best Disney songs ever! Anyways, speaking about all Jasmines, I am really happy that I am not the only one who really adores Meshi's performance. Her 'Speechless' reminds me of the Japanese version. Maybe both of them sound weak but the emotions of their voices overwhelm it. Maybe Jasmine is my favourite Meshi's role. I also find that Danish and Tamil are a bit underrated. At first, they might be 'meh' to me but after some times, I found that their performance is really enjoyable! They seem to enjoy while recording their songs. I even add Karui's Tavshed in my playlist for my Apple Music lmao. It is really enjoyable to walk while listening to it. Listening to it makes you want to scream along with the singer. This is also can be applied to Italian, French and Russian. Ukrainian leaves me 'speechless'. I've gotta listen to it as I never knew that there is Ukrainian version. She sounds like a way more powerful and enjoyable Russian version. Ok tbh, listening to A Whole New World in Hindi reminds me of scenes from Bollywood movies. Thanks a lot for 4th place. Somehow I hope that she would also provide the singing voice for Malaysian Mandarin (if there was) like once she did for Powerpuff Girls.

Some double standards right there. Franka is being bashed for her bold and strong voice and performance, while Norwegian is being praised for that. Yet she is the aggressive one. Not that she is bad, she clearly is not. But she is way more aggressive than Franka, Franka isn't even aggressive. She doesn't sound like she will beat everyone's asses in the room in any minute, unlike Norwegian.

Took me a whole month to get around to watching this cause I don't care much for these live actions. Speechless is what I focus on when deciding which voices I like, since the Whole New World arrangement has me consistently wishing I was listening to the 1992 version no matter the quality of the voices in the new one. Another rough thing for Jasmine is I don't find English, French, OR Swedish very much this time, and usually at least one of them is good...Euro Portuguese is very interesting to me, it's more evidence that their more recent voices have a lot more diversity than the sweet and cloying ones they always had in their earlier days. Karui Saemala is a rare one I'm actually familiar with, as I enjoyed her on Meechee, but it's true she's too much screamy at times. Meshi...again....? I've had enough. Something about the Romanian one is very sexy to me, kinda sounds like...a sporty lesbian? LOL Loving how you put a star in 'b*tch' in the thai comment but you spell it out 'bitch' in the Hebrew one...Oh hey Iduna is the Chinese Jasmine! Ukrainian is like...every Ukranian voice combined. It's like Shanys, Daryna, and Margarida all in one. Korean is a standout to me, and your #1 is very beloved.

I already sent you that brilliant schema of our mutual favourites some days ago, so no need to mention it again I think (oops, I did XD) You seem to really appreciate Jasmine's voices so I won't talk about the placements; Alexandra my baby, lowkey sad she doesn't grab your attention yet ;----; Same for Finnish, Kazakh & Czech. I'd easily swap the comments & placements of Croatian and Norwegian lmao, I really fail to see that spark of Maria's rendition unfortunately... Naomi 💔💔💔 Julia's voice is like those thin tree branches that crazily vibrate even in the softest winds for me, a shame I can't get to listen to her comfortably. Same for Ukrainian, whose diction and way of exhaling those vowels sounds highly unpleasant IMO... The mixing is not the best in Vietnamese movie version, but her performance is extremely underwhelming too I think, especially in Speechless. But I'm glad to see some appreciation because I feel this will be the last one, oof. Malay is very beautiful but I don't really hear Jasmine interpretation-wise. I did not see that coming so soon. I don't have a certain opinion about Jasmine's voices. They are all sounded good to me. We disagree a lot for once more 😅 but at least we share the same love for Meshi's Jasmine and yeah I'm a Meshi's bitch too. I am also very glad about Serbian's and Bulgarian's high places. Sorry, but I can't appreciate Hiba as Jasmine, she is not my top 20 material, though I gave sometime to myself to get used to her but I failed.
