Its easy known Kilkenny never had to go to parc i Caoimhe to open their championship campaign against Cork....Tipp, cork and limerick have always been a force in munster, clare and Waterford also for the last 25 years, very difficult to get out of there in knockout pre 1997, where as kilkenny just had to contend with wexford for a few years in the 1960s & 1996, Offaly for a period in the early eighties and mid 90s but thats about it...free reign to play laois, Westmeath and Dublin in nolan park to win their lucky dip silverware and advance to the all ireland semi finals without breaking a sweat.
