It is a great car! I've got one. It is very refined, comfortable and really quick, but to be honest it is a bit boring... I guess the RS3 would be better for me, but it's also A LOT more expensive unfortunalety...

@@GT-Z- yeah I can totally understand that. I am not saying the S3 doesn't have enough power! I live in Germany, so I can use the Autobahn, and I honestly don't need more power! What I mean is that I have driven many cars with less hp that were more exciting, more fun to drive. Don't get me wrong, the S3 is an awesome car, I've got one and I absolutely love it, but it is a bit boring! Idk, maybe it is too refined. But for me it is the perfect daily driver!

In my opinion the set-up of this interior with just a small update and maybe some higher quality materials would be better than the current tech and screen fest in the new A6, A7, A8....this was Audi strongest interior (years 2012-2016) IMHO.

I've got an Audi S3. I love it, it is a great car and for me the perfect daily driver. It is quick, it looks quite nice and it can be very comfortable. But I have to admit it is a bit boring. Don't get me wrong, I love my S3, but in my opinion it is a bit too refined, it just doesn't have any character or soul. But for a daily driver it is perfect! It is quick, practical and the fuel consumption isn't too bad

Xyntra Have you driven an i30N Performance? Also,I disagree with your comment about the quality of the interior. Yes,there are areas of the interior where you have hard plastics,but these are the areas (under the dash,the bottom of the doors) where there is minimal human contact.There are the areas where the soft touch materials are used,like the top of the dash. The interior is well put together. You must understand that Hyundai wanted to make the i30N as affordable as possible,and that’s why most of the R&D done on this car was for the ‘oily’ bits,like the engine,the ‘WONDERFUL’ exhaust,the chassis,the adaptive suspension,and even their own brakes which work extremely well under heavy driving (WHO NEEDS BREMBO BRAKES!!).And therefore you must understand that to keep the costs below cars like the Audi S3,Golf GTI,Renault Megane,there had to be a compromise,and that compromise was the interior. As a first attempt in the ‘hot hatch’ segment,Hyundai had done a great job with the i30N.And the Hyundai N cars will only get better and better.

Xyntra FWD with an electronically controlled LSD,which works beautifully in keeping the 275hp on the ground.And there are only 2 options to choose from,when compared to the Audi S3 that will cost you a lot more money than the standard price when you option it up.

I hear a lot of people saying golf r vs s3. You will find it extremely difficult to find differences between the two. All mechanical parts are based on same platform. My advice : get the one which is cheaper

Im going off these tuned up 2 litre engines which go in everything these days. They dont have any real character. Ive driven the S3, Golf R, TT, A35 they are all the same. I find them dull. The Golf with the fake noise was droning after a while, the A35 only made a half decent sound when thrashed. The S3 seemed to have the best ride quality. TT was useless in front wheel drive setup. I much prefer 5 or 6 cylinder engines for the sound plus AWD. The only exception is boxer engines.

Does this 2019 version of the S3 have the GPF? I'm waiting on delivery of a 2019 Cupra 290 and the GPF has changed the sound of the exhaust. The Golf R will have one too. Will you be doing reviews of 2019 versions of those cars?

Do they still understeer like crazy? Audi is quite good at making cars that look fast on paper. But introduce fast corners and they handle like a shed :/

Am I the only one feeling like all the recent hot hatchbacks look and sound boring/bland ? A45 AMG, S3, S1, Glof 7R... They all have similar performances/engines, they sound the same, you see one every corner and every cars & coffee usually ends up in a german hatchback metting. It really looks like you pay 40k€ for a common and soulless car.
