No, this keyboard should be pretty durable. It uses rubber domes, but it's not a membrane switch mechanism (which works by pressing a contact on the top of the membrane sheet against another one on the bottom of the membrane sheet when you bottom out the key). It's instead an electro-capacitive switch, where the key actuates by the circuit board detecting a change in capacitance as a light spring underneath the rubber dome is compressed. The spring under the dome is only about 5g so it doesn't really contribute the feel of the switch; it's just there for its electrical capacitance characteristics and the rubber dome is there to provide tactile feedback for the keystroke.

It's not a membrane board, so that helps a lot ;) Rubber dome, yes, membrane, no.

This feels lighter than a cherry red but you're less prone to typos because of the tactile sensation. It's a great board.

@@TheTechne yeah quite expenaive board just to try switches :D i can buy real midi piano (200 usd) or custom keyboard for this price. I am talking about rgb variant because I like to buy maxed out product and I would use it with my laptop. But thr price really is not tempting :/ it would be so nice if they would make it a bit cheaper or without keycaps which would also make it cheaper, so I could add my own. It could be 160 stock with rgb and without keycap 130. That would be nice

You are comparing pears to apples - this keyboard is a steal if you are into ec keyswitches, as the other products in this technology (remember, this is not *just membrane*) are upwards of 250$ (ie hhkb, topre, leopolds). And it has very good build quality and lasts actually longer than mechas.
