I bought my 2019 Ram Classic 5.7 2WD with 21 miles off the lot. I went with an iTune 3 from Diablosport and I’ve never had any issues ever. Flashed it at 5,000 miles with dyno tune. Now at 47,000 miles still no problems at all. I also have Stainless Works headers w/ high flow cats, Stainless Works S-Type full exhaust kit, AFE Silver Bullet throttle body spacer, ported Fastman throttle body, ported intake manifold by MMX, AFE Momentum GT intake, iTune 3 flash on dyno. It runs real strong and 26 mpg highway and 20/21 city.

Damn this has to be one of the most in depth videos i have seen. Thank you so much. Contemplating putting it on my 2019 Durango RT. It’s on sale right now for $385 so I’m thinking of making the purchase, but i keep hearing if i don’t “tune” my truck i won’t feel the added HP

Nice video. Back in the day we used to get the 3rd gens to stay in prefered gear by unplugging the TCM fuse when on the dyno and in correct 1 to 1 ratio gear

Thanks man, excelent video, thanks for your time.. I was thinking in buy a S&B cold air intake.. for my 2019 5 gen. Do you think AFE is better? Thanks again..

@Alfredo Suarez Alosno I decided on the aFe because of the claimed numbers and in was cheaper. After installing it and looking at it, it performs well, but feels a little cheap and doesn't look that great. The S&B looks more premium. Not that we look at the intakes everyday, but if the look matters to you, go S&B, if it doesn't, go aFe. I ended up switching to the Vararam Air Grabber after testing that. Hope this helps.

Just installed a S&B Intake on my 21 Rebel today then came across the Vararam. Curious to see what results you got with it as I may just sell my S&B and get the Vararam. Any idea when that video will be out?

@Brad Gamble I wish I had gone with the S&B. it just looks so much better. How do you like it so far? I have an appointment this Wednesday for dyno pulls. Assuming all goes on schedule, I hope to have it done no later than next.

I literally installed it like the day before I made the post so can’t really comment to much on it yet. I did notice a little better MPG can’t really say anything noticeable on HP//TQ I’ve only had the truck about 2 weeks any my other car is a 2017 Subaru STi making 420whp so it’s kind of hard to compare gains with such little time behind the Ram. I do like the S&B this the open clear top looks pretty cool when the hoods open and it’s built solid and a pretty straight forward install. I just really like the look of that Vararam intake. Looking forward to the video.

Since it's a dry filter, do you clean it when dirty or replace entirely?

They did not use a fan, so going down the highway you would get some colder air.

If I remember right bone stock made 280 add the intake and it makes over 300 to the wheels which is crazy because that’s about 40 to the crank.

I was wondering this myself. 5.7 Hemi supposed to be 395hp, so assume those numbers at the crank, not the wheels

They're all going to lose their hearing unfortunately. Ear protection is too far improved, to allow for this type of noise to go unchecked at a person's ears.
