2019 Re-recording of Majulah Singapura

A re-recording of the National Anthem, performed by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, was released on 3 December 2019.
The new recording was part of the commemoration for the 60th anniversary of the National Anthem, National Flag, and the State Crest, which were introduced on 3 December 1959 at City Hall.

Interesting fact: The Singaporean national anthem was written in the Malay language. Despite being a majority Chinese country they respected the indigenous peoples' language.

We lived in Singapore from 1968 - 1971 & went to Bourne School & loved it. I'm now 67 years old & can still remember the words of this beautiful national anthem. Everything I remember about Singapore is clean streets & paths, different nationalities living peacefully together, good food & just the best place on earth 💖💖💖

I am not sure about the Singaporeans in the comment section, as a foreigner I consider Majulah Singapura as one of the best national anthems in the world, whether it is the old or the new recording.

Both the 2001 and 2019 versiom are C major and the old one used from 1959 to 2001 was in D major. 2019 ver sounds much faster with gusto.

Much much better than the old one which in comparison is a lifeless slow coach. This re-recording is as lively as when I heard it at the Constitution Expo in 1959. Emphasis on some of the words makes it more rousing and stimulating.
