This video gathers the TOP3 videos - the Winners Reel - of the 2019 Kayak Session Short Film of the year Awards. With an incredible level of quality, it was really hard for the judges and voters alike to decide on who will win. They voted Entry #34, the River’s Call by We are Hungry prod. best Short Film of the Year. Entry#35 Freefall II Chile Tour by Dylan McKinney takes second place and Tibet, Mission Impossible by Olaf Obsommer Third!
With filmakers from the four corners of the world, the Short Film of the Year Awards have now reached the international status, and is seen as the reference for film producers around the world, and TV broadcasters alike. With an incredible level of quality, it was really hard for the judges and voters alike to decide on who will win. 42 entries, 10 finalists, the best of whitewater kayaking on film every year. A huge congrats to all entrants, Legends all!NB: 50% is based on a panel of whitewater and filmmaking professionals, 50% based on online votes & views.

whao. this route looks like a 7. how do they know those waterfalls are deep enough to drop off? thats insane. beautiful! I was hiking along an unexplored river in borneo and i was just thinking i wish my kayaking skills were good enough to ride it. these guys are legends. 400 km on the amazon!? did they actually go 400 km?

The movie short and long version also exists in french. But for an english speaking contest, they were nice enough to translate it and put subtitles; which ended being a good idea, they won!

@@shantcheetah You've got that backwards. It doesn't take long to learn how to pull a cord, it's much harder to master the roll and keep from drowning yourself.

I started to train kayaking (K1 slalom and canoe sprint) at 8years and gave that up at about 15 to 16 years because of school. I am 20 now a miss it every day. But during those times i saw a lot of adult people try kayaking end it was fun for almost everyone (some just didn't like it). If you have any more questions just ask me. Will be happy to replay if you need something.

How did the second film ever end up in the top three? The footage was completely butchered by the music. You can either choose something that supports and flows together with the visuals, or you can juxtapose it. It did neither.

You keep asking 'what have we come here for'. You have gone there for the freedom from thinking. Freedom from living in the world in a society run with rule's written by man. Then of course rejoining with nature and the rule's spoken and found in the book written by God.
