Soarin around the world music only sounds slightly the same as over California at the beginning and end but everything else sounds 100% different.

@@kimjensen8838 I found a fragrance oil in a local shop that smells just like the orange groves! One of my favorite things I've ever bought! I also have some aromatherapy stuff that smells exactly like the pine scene, another that smells like the ocean scene, and a third that smells like the orange groves again.

Disney couldnt. Then one side would just become more popular than the other. To play it safe, the Left Side operates World and the Right Side operates California. And which ever side the cast member directs you to is the version you'd be riding. So it's 50 50

@@christinasavannah7992 Yes we have everything like that too. One thing that we lack though is good weather. But if your thing is lush green rolling fields and fresh air then the UK this an amazing place to live.

I love the new one but I also this old one too they could have just kept the soarin over California just at disneyland and over the world just at disneyworld because I thought it made sense to do over the world at Disney world because epcot had the world showcase and also doing over California in Florida

@@m000660 Why I came from California. Some people hate Soarin Around the World because we all know their landmarks, biomes, and lands. California one is new where people see landmarks which includes the Golden Gate Bridge. We also see biomes, valleys, and parks.

@@sunshinesky6926 well it could work, just know that when you ride soarin, your directed to either left or right randomly. So technically you can have a 50 50 chance to ride said version. And Disney sphlud put a sign saying no complaints for which ride version you get, and cast member will only allowed a certain number of request per day. It's like single rider, you get a card, and you give it to the CM at the end of the hallway and they say which version would you like, you choose and you ill be directed to that side and be going through the line of handicap instead of the normal line since you requested it

I actually think Around the World is an improvement in several aspects. Like, that one feels more natural to me. I mean, think about it: The same time of the day is not shown in all videos on either version. Since Soarin' Over California is in California, like if you were to go on it after dark, it'd be a giveaway that you're not actually traveling. The fact that a couple of the vids were filmed after dark just makes it so clear you're not really traveling across the state. But with Around the World, not all times are the same in every area of the world, so it feels more believable. Also Around has much smoother transitions instead of just abruptly cutting to the next scene like the California version. However, these are just my opinion. And I don't hate this version, I'm just saying the world version improves on it in aspects. That's all.

​@@artbytesiaReally? Around the World more NATURAL? 🤣🤣🤣 Girl, it is infested with CGI. Unlike the original, which is actually natural and this gives you that nostalgic 90s/early 2000s feels. I never went on Soarin' as a kid when DCA was brand new, due to the lines being so long. Up until this year's Food & Wine Festival, after so many years of wanting to, I finally got on Soarin' Over California for the first time. I FELT the nostalgia and despite not having the same connection as many others who have ridden it over the years, I got teary eyed and emotional watching the scenes and hearing that beautiful music. It filled me with pride, of being Californian and living in such a beautiful state. I didn't get that feeling when I got on Around the World a month later. It's alright, the smells are nice...but the CGI ruined it for me. Everyone is entitled to like whichever version, but to say that ATW feels more "natural"...please. It's far from it. 😂

that's the plan. the temporary 1-month change just applies to the Anaheim version. next month it reverts back to Soarin Around The World.

I say keep around the world in the other parks, and return Soarin' Over California to DCA permanently.

@@ct6852good question. Personally since I live in 15 mins from the coast. I like to keep it that way. So personally, I would say Monterey. The scenery is like no other. Also I still have easy access to a major city like San Jose which is a 1 hr drive

Yes - that's because they filmed that footage prior to 2001. When I went to DL in 2001 and 2001, SM was bronzed then - for me, that's its colour - well in Anaheim anyway.

The Naval Base pictured in SD was North Island Naval Base as well as the connected Naval Air Station. The Carrier was CVN-74, the John C Stennis, a Nimitz class Super Carrier. One of the F/A-18s on deck belonged to VFA-146 Blue Diamonds.
