My 07 Sport is at 198,000 miles now. Vehicle still runs great. The feature I like most about my 4Runner compared to the one in this video is that mine is paid for.

I have had my 1997 Toyota 4Runner since it was new. I love my SUV. I just rebuilt the engine at 250,000 mile due to a blown head gasket. The has been very good to me. I use the 4 wheel drive for driving in the snow when I go skiing. I was looking at getting a new 4runner but I just might keep my old one. I know the 4Runners are reliable and has a following but I do think it is time for a redesign. I sat in a new 4Runner the other day and to be honest the seats were not comfortable. I had replaced all the foam in my old seats and my old seats are more comfortable than the new 4Runner seats. The seats in the Lexus NX 300, Mazda, Kia, Highlander, Audi Q5, are much more comfortable than a new 4 Runner and the interiors are much better designed than the 4Runner. I do believe its time for a new design and I feel the new 4Runner is very dated. I know the 4Runner loyalist do want to keep the SUV on a truck based frame but that does not mean Toyota cannot try a redesign both with the exterior and the interior of the car.

Should have no chrome and a black Toyota emblem if you ask me. They honestly really didn't change anything on the 4runner except some body tweaks. Still one sexy looking suv. Plus there still made in Japan :)

I own my 2015 sr5 Attitude black with all emblems blacked out, roof rack black, and 18's on black wit 40,000 miles on it. Got it as a steal!! Its a 5 seater thank god

i have 96 4runer , bought it new , i have 320 000 on it , haven't touch the motor yet. ,!!! altinator replaced 2 timec , a/c comptessor once , shoks 2 times ... in 23 years and 320 000 miles all those repairs is nothing !!! very solid car very well build .

the only thing these are missing are better lighting and a heated steering wheel . I love our 4runner . we traded in our 2016 explorer sport on it . the explorer had more bells and whistles but the 4 runner is a way better vehicle . it has almost everything we need and nothing we don't

Dont get me wrong, I love this truck, especially how its looks, reliability, and resale. But... how is this a 2019 model year that still doesn't have adaptive cruise control or any other active safety features? Even the Tacoma has adaptive cruise now... it's available in every Toyota except this. The interior could use a major overhaul too with better infotainment. Safety should be improved too (specifically small overlap front crash results as per IIHS).

Just a side note on the new 4Runner here. With my experience with moving parts on my 4Runner. I can guarantee you in a few years the moving of the sideboard everytime you open the car will break. It is just like my power radio antenna of my 1997 4Runner. The track broke every year for 5 years straight so I finally just left the antenna up and did not bother to fix it. Any moving part like the a sideboard, antenna or something like light covers will always break and its very expensive to fix these designs flaws that are in place when the car is always started up.

Of course with the very same black rims that are on this 2019 model because I would sure trade mine in for one in a heart beat!!! ✌✌✌

Interesting fact: this along with the Land Cruiser and high end Lexus models are the only vehicles Toyota still makes in Japan and imports for the American market.

There’s nothing new about those running boards. My 2016 has them. Actually, the only thing “new” about this is the black chrome and wheel option, which looks pretty good.

Can someone please tell me what step bars they installed on this 4Runner- everything says the amp research steps won’t fit on this truck so I’m super interested if they still installed them here. There isn’t a factory option on the website so I’m really confused and I just bought this exact same model this week and I’m trying not to ruin my leather seats from rolling out of my seat every time!

It looks like it has a body kit that gives is a less aggressive approach angle, IDK looks like they are trying to turn this into a luxury performance vehicle like the Cherokee SRT8, the opposite direction of offroad worthy. Toyota better never get rid of 4runner's offroad ability by the time I buy one here in the next decade.

4 runner is made for outdoor rugged terrain, if u r looking for more Electronic updated suvs go For Acura. All i wish from 4 runner is to quiet. Pin drop silence when driving. Thts all i want. Plzzzz toyota make it happen.

Why O Why doesn't it auto start? I get snow where i live and love my auto start. Its what keeping me on the fence with the 4Runner. Otherwise, i would jump off now and get it.

Interesting. On toyota’s website it said it has CRAWL control too. Was excited because I’m waiting for a model with dual zone climate control and CRAWL control. My 09 base model SR5 Has climate control and I’m not buying another 4Runner till its in at least the Off Road model.

Not impressed with this package. I have the 2017 limited with the chrome features. I admit, it has more chrome than desired in this 'day and age', The retracting running boards are a nice feature - but it's another item than can eventually fail. I guess the attempt here is to capture the '4runner limited' folks with a touch of TRD toughness. This gets you half way there. Add the TRD front-end features to the rest of the 'limited' body... and that may be a winning package. Thoughts and comments from a 3-time 4runner owner.
