The one thing seems everyone forgets even the technicians at toyota , is to check the arrow and make sure the filter is in the right orientation for air flow.

What about the air flow arrows ? Which way does the filter go?

Does it matter which way it goes?

I always take a Sharpie Fine-Tip marker and write the date it was changed on the filter. I change mine every year to keep a fresh smell in the cabin.
