Journey into Imagination with Figment is the third and latest incarnation of a dark ride attraction located within the Imagination! pavilion on the western side of Future World at Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. Originally opened on March 5, 1983, its original and current version feature the small purple dragon named Figment as well as the song "One Little Spark," composed by the Sherman Brothers.
This is the Holiday Overlay version where Figment is wearing a sweater.

Sorry to offend anyone . But Disney need to upgrade this ride again. I know this ride has been through changes before. , but if they upgrade this ride and do it right this could be a popular attraction again.

Yep. They need to bring back the Dreamfinder with the flying machine, the Rainbow Tunnel, (and put it UPSTAIRS), Works of Art, A Brand New Show, Science Science Science, and so on. The first version is still loved to this day, and people have never forgiven Disney for what they have done to the place, even over 20 years later.

I absolutely hate that ride it is so bad and I still remember how bad the smell lab smelled. I hope that ride gets destroyed soon and replaced with a better ride!

Well, I think the current version is PERFECT, it's been around for 21 years and it makes NO sense for Disney to replace it now, if people didn't like it Disney would've replace like what they did with Journey into YOUR Imagination, besides I think this version is great!

@EPCOTNERDLovesDisney It's OK. It's not the beloved first version that most people over 40 think of when they hear "Journey Into Imagination". The original ride had not only bleeding edge tech for 1983, but also had the handsome bearded fellow and his Figment puppet, grabbing hats in the courtyard from kids😁. I'm actually kind of glad the courtyard hasn't changed that much, because they were able to copy the leaping fountains for Journey of Water with Moana.😝
