Excellent, very straightforward video, especially for those of us with 2020+ 4Runners, for which the fuse boxes and layouts are different than earlier models! EXCELLENT instructions on the push-clips for the plastic radiator cover as well - many people have broken those trying to put them back in!

You are amazing! I viewed many other videos on how to do this, and they all involved trashing (just get rid of it. ..you don't need it.....you won get it back on, etc.) the plastic piece and/or discarding the "buttons". I saved my plastic gaurd because of you! Thank you!

Great instruction man, thank you. I noticed that the raptor light fuse adapter is too big/tall for the fuse-box cover to close completely. Like you, I secured one latch & zip-tied the cover to the bottom portion to keep it in place for now. Hope there’s a way to secure the cover completely.

Great walkthrough!! All other walkthroughs were before 2020 or dealt with pulling the harness into the cab. Although I have a three piece light set, my plug-n-play kit came with an added 5amp fuse while everyone video I’ve seen is 10-15. Thinking of at swappinh out for a 10A. Great vid!

I just got my 2021 TRD Pro about 3 weeks ago and just installed the amber raptor lights on my ride. Love them and thank you for the video. It helped tremendously. On that note you ever find a fix for the cable and the gap created to the fuse box?

I prefer the led light bar as and it looks like that black piece that is connect below the safety sense could be routed out with a router just the solid black pieces and the led bar light would shine thru without effecting the safety sense. You think going with the white led raptor lights would actually add some brightness to night time lighting or they don't really make a difference, and I would have to look into a led bar light?

My 2018 4Runner Limited has a fuse box which is configured differently. I also noticed your hot terminal contained a 15 amp blue fuse and you added the existing 10 amp to that connector. My unit arrived yesterday with only a 5 amp fuse. Problem?

Any updates on finding a solution to get the fuse box to fully close?

Thank you Chris, for the video!! Question on the lights at night do you notice any difference while you are driving if it is brighter on the road . Not sure how much lighting it protrudes. Besides having your lights and fog lights on. Also yeah I’m bummed about that safety sense being in the way with a led light bar. Had one on my Tacoma there awesome. I spoke to Cali led company they said the bar will still work but that black piece below the safety sense will block the light in the middle part.

Just wondering if you have had any issues since wiring these up and with them being plugged into that location. Saw a company saying to plug them into the TAIL fuse location inside the cabin.

Hey, Chris, as youve wired it, the raptor lights are always on, right? In other words, they turn on whenever you start the 4R up, right? If that's the case, any regret having them always on? I've been thinking about wiring into the fuse box inside the driver foot well to cnnect to a switch installed in one of the blanks so i can control them manually. EDIT - thanks for showing how you ran the wiring routing from the lights to the fuse box. Not a lot of videos do a good job displaying this part. This was helpful to me.

Is it possible to drill a small hole on the side of the fuse cover to put the wire thru and the caulk it ? So the fuse cover will close properly and won't pinch the wire.

Chris, did you have to use a different 10amp fuse for the adapter? The 10amp fuse in my 2020 TRD doesn't fit into the adapter that came with the lights.

Hi Chris, I have a similar question. I’m adding a bajadesigns led bar in the same area instead of raptor lights. The Baja led bar has the amber backing lighting. Do you know if you can still use that same fuse for my led bar. The other wire will run into the firewall and it will be wired to a push button to turn led bar on. So would I still need a 15 amp like yours and just put the 10 amp in you pulled like yours. I want the back lighting on when truck is on. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I just installed some on mine, but is it normal for them to stay on all the time as soon as you turn on the car..without messing with the lights???

How long do these lights usually last? Would they die out fairly fast since they are always on when the ignition is on?

Has anyone tried doing this on a 2022 TRD Pro? Everything worked perfectly until I tried to close the fuse box cover... the fuse adaptor sits almost an inch proud of the fuse itself and I cannot get the cover to close, not even with just one of the rear cover latches. In the comments, someone suggested plugging into the EFI2 fuse but that's 7.5amp not 10. Any other suggestions?

Most of the video is correct but i disagree with the add-a-fuse fuses. You put 10 amp on bottom and 15 amp on top. Unfortunately fuses doesnt work like that. You always want to use the lower amp on top of add-a-fuse to protect the circuit. So top fuse should have lower amps than the bottom one.
