To put it simply... Yes, but it wouldn't be my first pick. If I was going to spend a lot of my time on green lanes then I'd go for the manual version.

Tiger 900 rally or Africa twin .... Thoughts ? Both already have more than enough for fuel so I don't see that as an issue. Only thing that's absolutely horrible about CRF is the screen boot-up time which in itself is enough to bring second thoughts whether I'm ready to go for a ride. Love your Videos always 😁👍

Tiger 900 for me primarily for the engine, everything else I'd get used to either way.

I'm in my early 50s, and I'm a dad to 2 young adults. I prefer sporty-ish naked roadsters !

Always enjoy your reviews my friend. My main observation is with all that technology and different buttons/switches & options, you'd have to be VERY well qualified as a mechanic to own one of those and NOT opt for the full repair warranty. There are a LOT of moving parts in there...haha Thank you.

Title says "Does DCT work off road?" , what about on road ? I did have a ride of a NC750S DCT ( something like that) , I found it off putting that it would change gear whilst I'm leaning over going around a roundabout. In straight lines it was fine. Guess they need an IMU and some option with the plethora of buttons and TFT "don't change gear whilst leaning over". I can see the appeal of DCT for commuting, but not for me.

I think it's great if you've bought this to commute or you have difficulty with your left hand and find it hard to change gear but still really want to ride but I would still buy the manual option.

@@RarefiedRoad Yep. Me too, I'd have the manual option. I prefer the extra control and quick shifters make a manual "automatic" enough for me.

The 2020 DCT actually have a 6-axis IMU that won't change gears when leaning. The DCT is much improved on the 2020. Same thing they use for their cornering lights.

Unlike a human rider it won't mess up a gear change on a bend so it doesn't matter

Only one sport mode? The NC750X DCT has Drive and three Sport modes.
