For the 3s battery do I need a different charger than supplied by the 2995 thank you for you video new to the game my wife surprised me with this lil Truggie and I love it❤️‍🔥👊

@@uhh482 absolutely! Your local hobby shop shouldn’t treat you bad because you have this or any other budget RC car because if you like the hobby you will eventually upgrade to something more hobby grade that they probably sell or support. Stick with it!

The Haiboxing 2995 has grown on me. At first, I did not like the body - it looked too cheap. But after watching several videos and learning more about its simplicity, durability, and room for upgrades it looks like this might be the one! Also, like the fact it has center diff so it handles well. Or should I spend a little more and shoot for the HBX 901a or Bezgar HM124?

3 S brings those little things to life I could imagine with a motor upgrade and the right gearing those suckers could hit 50 or more Pretty cool 🔥👍✌️

I'm a few months behind on commenting, but the 18650 batterys are lithium ion, only 20-30 amp rated...so the equivalence of a 4 -6 C rating, where a cheap Lithium polymer battery meant for rc cars n trucks is 25 C minimum

Cool. I'm surprised how well that thing jumps. Same for my HBX Protector. They don't look particularly aerodynamic but they're steady in the air.

I have one of these on the way. I have a 2838 3900 KV brushless in my old Protector. What size brushless motor is equivalent to the 490L motor this new version?

Just watch motor tempts when running 3S. Allow time to cool before putting in another battery. Upgrading to brushless is safer

I just got mine upgraded to brushless with 3s and big 4in wheel set with 15mm spacers and a new controller. ot is a beautiful beastly buggy. so much fun. if you do get one make sure you don't go cheap on an esc. I went with a surpass 80a esc and did some moding. It now sits where the battery is after some trimming. tricky part is programming the esc. now running a 3650 brushless with 4200Kv.

@@413RC got that too. It would of been alot cheaper of I got a Arrma Vortek.🤣🤣😂😭. But my curiosity got the best of me. That is next on the list. Thought about fixing up the old kyosho USA 1 monster truck. But it's also cheaper to get the new version.
