Great car overall, but cars like the ZL1, GT500 and hellcat will walk away after 100 or once they hook. If you prioritize highway straightline roll race perfomance and love the C8, maybe hold out for the C8 Z06.

Hard to hit 2.7 - 2.8 with two full grown adults in the car. Sans passenger it should hit 2.8 - 2.9 every time and once in a while a 2.7

Good video. Could we stop saying it's a great car "for the money" or "bargain bang for the buck". It's like you guys WANT the car to cost MORE! Shut up, GM is listening! A good car SHOULDN'T cost more than $60,000 and, take all the six-figure cars the 'Vette is compared to on the road today combined and there's still way more Corvettes out there, so it can't be that bad. I've never seen an outpouring of gushing praise for a McLaren or Audi or Ferrari (maybe the F12) like the C8 Corvette is getting right now so let's just agree that it's simply a great car.

Wow I take some time off and Riley posted a bunch of videos in a couple weeks! Keep it up. It just burns me that a car with 350 hp LESS than my car gets better 0-60 times so easily lol. But the C8 is really a game changer, who would want a Camaro when these can be competitively priced in their lower trim levels? Riley I hope they open up the plants soon and get you back on track with yours

@@BobbyBimmer Being seen is fine, but performance to dollar ratio craps all over than McLaren. This is just the base model with under 500hp giving those overpriced European "super cars" hell. I'd take the C8 since it's fresh, the McLaren is everywhere and it always looks weird out here in NYC.

sure you could. Many dealers offer MSRP to order one. Just look at corvetteforum.com they are all over. Its the people trying to resell theirs and the ones some dealers have ordered for showroom stock that are charging over MSRP.

The center stripe ruins the look up front. Should have gone with a better stripe design. I know that's a custom option, so without that the car is great. It will kick Exotic butt cold and hard.

A chevy Camaro ZL1 does a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds and it has 650HP. That's crazy for the C8 Corvette doing it in 11.1 seconds with much less HP. Both are great cars. The mid engine Corvette has a advantage with the mid engine configuration tho especially from a dig.

@@yusufelsayed7898 Number of people on KZfaq beat that time of 11.5 which is basic average time, and not the best time achieved, especially with the 10 speed. There are vids of a standard ZL1 running high 10s and 0-60 in very low 3s with no mods whatsoever on stock tires on ideal track conditions. Also the ZL1 has much higher trap speeds (125-128 mph) and higher top speed with just as much grip, and better braking. The 10 speed ZL1 will walk the C8 easily. At 65k for a loaded ZL1 with many options - Once added to the C8 increases the price drastically. Lastly, just the standard Zl1 beat the C8 around the ring, by a small amount...

Spoken like someone who votes with emotions, if you want performance and driveability the C8 is the best Corvette ever made. You calling it midengine junk is proof you are simply stick in the mud old complainer who dislikes change. Enjoy your C7 dinosaur, C8 is the future and in it's base form no other Corvette can come close. Again the manufacturer knows what they are doing, you are driven by nostalgia and emotions.
