The good news is the style is massively upgraded thanks to fresh lights, grilles gloss-black trim taking over for chrome outside. Inside gets big updates too with sexy carbon-fiber and a thumping Bose Performance stereo. But when it comes to actual sporty dynamics? The XT5 Sport falls well short of its competition . It simply does not enjoy being hustled. Much more at home in its element around town or on long straight highways.

Do I understand this right? You consciously chose to take the vehicle out of the AWD Sport mode and put it in FWD mode to assess its driving dynamics? That doesn’t sound like a flaw with the vehicle but a flaw with a stubborn driver who wants sportiness from the XT5 without putting it in the mode that was designed to produce a sporty experience for those who wanted it.

What a disappointment on the drive review! This was my budget alternative to the XT6. I'm just assuming better rebates and leases on these due to the "longer in the tooth" product. I can't believe they are so different. Thank you for sharing this one with us, Tom. That light interior is poppin'! Love it.

I tend to like your reviews, but the only thing you did in this review is stick to the country road and just randomly come to a stop and gun it. Drive the car in a city environment and get gas mileage, etc. Switch it up a bit.

Seems like GM has finally created a decent transmission to mate to the 3.6L. The 6T70 they were using for a while was complete and utter shit, and every car that has it should be recalled and fitted with a completely different unit. It's terrible. That being said, I love the way this thing shifts. Close gearing and quick shifts mated to a capable engine. Quite the powertrain. I hope they keep this up!

XxklusivV Gaming i totally agree for the Enclave and XT6. This one had some rough downshifts though
