2020 Chrysler Voyager Fast Facts

At Fiat Chrysler Automobile's annual "What's New" program, they quietly introduced the 2020 Chrysler Voyager. While it looks like a Pacifica and drives like a Pacifica, it doesn't replace the Pacifica. Exactly. It's basically the economy class trim of the Pacifica, replacing the base L and LX trims.
Automotive Editor Jill Ciminillo gives some fast facts you need to know about this new trim badged as Voyager.

How many car seat tether anchors in the eight seater? do the third row seatbelt float in front of the seat? How many lower latches for car seats?

I drive a Chrysler Voyager for a Security company and have to say I like it. It's smooth and rather luxurious for an inexpensive minivan. It's also quite comfortable, I was honestly shocked it was a chrysler product.

That model did not have stow-n-go (second row folds into floor)

This looks so familiar. I'm working at an Opel delership and we also sell a big van (well for Germans standards ^^) called Opel Zafira Tourer. And the back of this thing.. Holy kinda lazy.

The Voyager is a great FCA - Plymouth name for a minivan. Let's get past that, this I believe is a lame idea. Instead just have a lower trim Pacifica go to Dodge as the new Caravan.

Chrysler is the only of the Big 3 that still makes minivans. Minivans are less popular today thanks to SUVs. Mazda & Nissan have quit making minivans. The only other minivans are from Honda, Toyota & Kia. Toyota is the most reliable minivan

DaNNy Wu The Chrysler Pacifica is the same vehicle, but in nicer trim. Look for that one if you’re interested in the interior. The Voyager will be close to that.

There are some interior shots starting at about 0.45. This is the base trim of the Pacifica. So, as Donnelle points out very similar to that but with cloth interior and more plastic bits.

It should become the new Dodge Caravan. This is a lame idea. It's a Pacifica.

I believe they are trying to position Dodge as a sporty alternative to Chrysler so they will be doing away with the Grand Caravan just like they did with the Town & Country name. They just sound old 🤷🏽‍♂️

So they went for my Pacifica to Voyager 2020 models are hogwashed I can't believe they do away with the Pacifica unless they should have 2 models trim level one Pacifica and the other voyager I'm thinking that would replace the Caravan I'm the Dodge lineup

This is NOT a Voyager. They should have renamed the RT Chrysler minivan the Voyager. That was a legit successor to the original minivans. Mechanically and body-wise, this thing has nothing in common with them.

What about Android Auto? That should also be standard. I don't care for Apple and want Android. I hate everything is always Apple and Google doesn't get the same attention as Apple.

Apple does get a lot of the attention, and the only thing I can figure is there are some automakers who have CarPlay but no Auto, but not vice versa.

Porsche & BMW only have CarPlay. Toyota only just started adding Auto for 2020. I can’t think of any other exceptions off the top of my head.

It actually has 2 USB ports. And 2 12V jacks you can plug USB charge stations into if you want to go nuts.

Coming from a 47 year old who has driven MANY cars/trucks/vans and even semis, this van is the biggest pile of s--t I have ever driven. I rented one, drove it for 3 miles and took it back and waited for them for over 2 hours to get me a Dodge Caravan. What a major difference. There is a reason why Google is buying these P.O.S by the masses for their Google Waymo vans, they are cheap garbage. But, Fiat is also one of the biggest POS car manufactures in the world. Just look at what they did to the Jeep Wrangler. Even the Wrangler now is a POS. As for Fiat, just bury the brand and burn all the blueprints for your crappy cars. They are JUNK. If I were married, I would NOT want my wife driving this POS. Very cheap and will fall apart in a matter of 5 years, if you can stand driving this ugly thing for that long. It would look better to me if it were plowed into a guard rail at 75MPH. It may make it look pretty, even being magled up. Rent one for yourself and see what I mean.

I agree completely, this is NOT a Voyager. I don't even want to think about what headache is going to be had when you try to take this thing apart in a few years, even just to replace a dead light bulb. They created this lame-aleck thing because of a minor flaw in the Caravan crash test that only shows when you ram one front corner of a Caravan full speed into a corner of a concrete wall. Wake up and smell the coffee, people--there is nothing in real life on the road that will produce those results, not even hitting another car on one front edge. I have SEEN Caravans on the road who were obviously struck from that angle and did just fine...the hood didn't even crumple. What I will say is this; though the Pacifica may do better in this near-impossible scenario, but it's going to be in a lot more accidents because that weird ugly shape is going to create lots of blind spots. Bring the RT platform Caravan back and rename IT the Chrysler Voyager! That's the only one that still looks like a Voyager!
