I got myself a nightshade and man the one thing I can tell you is the camera does not do justice .... the nightshade is beautiful in person !

I like the look of the nightshade.... But I hate the fake plastic dual exhaust...

Got a great deal on a nightshade hatchback and the key fob remote start trick (lock 3 times and hold lock on the third until headlights blink several timess) from your other video worked on it! Absolutely wild that I just got a beautiful budget vehicle that comes with free remote start.

Well I'm impressed by the MPGs compared to my 04 Grand Am GT. These cars get roughly 10mpgs more than mine, 200hp but with 2 less cylinders to wear out. Wheels are 2"-3" bigger than mine. I'm stoked. From my perspective I like driving something slightly unique from the rest of the cars on the road. So the nightshade is my pick. A good value package if you ask me.

Just curious Jeff, a few months back you posted a video about doing a review on a Corolla Hatchback XSE with a 6-speed manual, what ever happened to that review? I was really looking forward to it.

Looks nice. Cheap way to get the 18” wheels and hides the silly fake exhaust tips.

I got the xse but with all the nightshade options like the blacked out emblems and everything so I like to think I'm the real winner. Lol

Nightshade all day every day. I hate fake Chrome on new cars. The 18 inch wheels also look great.

If i could have waited i would have gotten the Nightshade over my SE. i have white but i think im going to copy some of the nightshade style on mine.

The $900 covers the bigger wheels in a gloss black with the low profile tires so it’s definitely worth it

(Hey you're always showing us jets) Well the plane er, plain ;-) Corolla Hatchback SE makes more sense and is cheaper but the SE Nightshade 18" black wheels might be worth the price. I think for $4000 more the Camry LE might be added to the comparison as it has a stronger engine that gets about the same fuel economy, 18" alloy wheels (SE trim), more quality and sure looks better. It doesn't come in a hatchback but its 15.1 cu ft trunk is only a little short of the 17.8 cu ft Corolla hatchback. I did that comparison a year ago and went with the gorgeous Camry SE as we already have a RAV4 when cargo space is needed.

Too much black on black on nightshade edition. Prefer the SE silver on silver with light gray interior. That will be mine. 👍

Used the Toyota model comparison on their site to compare these - and it breaks down to the SE with blackout accessories and JBL Audio (not available on the Nightshade, apparently) being the better option.
