If you ride in a high gear over technical terrain and are letting the motor compensate then you are putting a massively excessive strain on your chain. Over time the rear cassette may also need replacing, which can be expensive. On this type of e bike you need to use the gears even more than you would on a normal bike. The 'rev counter' on the Kiox display should give you an indication of whether you are spinning enough.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Bike. I have the 2021 model, with the basic Display. Did you get round to fitting the bash guard? Where did you get the CF guard that fell off?

Definitely need some mudguards this time of year, cube acid guards fit a treat, what size frame have you got 17" or 19"? Where the cable goes into gearchange controls on handlebars, try turning knurled adjuster 1 click in and try gearchange if no good turn 2 clicks out, hope that helps.

If its jumping in one gear after a new chain, then I'm afraid the cassette is worn. I ditched chain oil a few years ago. I think it turns to expensive grinding paste as soon as you hit the mud. Have a look at chain wax. Molten speed wax gets good reviews. But I'm cheap so use putoline mx chain wax. Over 700 miles on original chain and the chain checker tool still indicates acceptable wear.
