Grizzly Wang they did this on the live coverage today for all C2 putts made and Ricky was over 400 feet for round two.

That's something I realized a little while ago, just how much easier great putting makes your drives and up-shots. If I'm 90% from 20 feet, that means I've got to hit a target 40 feet wide and 40 feet long in order to hit a birdie 9 times out of 10. These pros putting 90% from 40 feet are not only far more likely to hit that 40 foot target than I am, but they've only got to hit an 80 foot diameter target to get the same chance at birdie I have. So they are going to hit an order of magnitude more birdies than I am just by being twice as accurate on their throws and putts.

TY JomezPro. This is a tough weekend for me. Was so excited that this tourney was back on for this weekend after some questions. Then see even more great names here this year than last. Oh my so looking forward to being a fanboy like last year (course about 3 miles from home). Then see no fans due to.... Aaaarghhhh! Such great camera work and commentary I am able to feel like I am there. If you guys get hungry there are turkeys roaming around just off hole 1 about a hundred yards into woods and 100 yards from the service road.

Ulibling! I said it last year and I will say it again this year: this more laid back commentary style is what I prefer for the disc golf vibe. DG can still be an upper-tier sport and attract sponsors and still be tongue-in-cheek-and, most of all laid back. In fact, y’all are on the bow wave of a larger, Gen Z trend: chill sports. But, not like surfing (all *agro* and *dude* and stuff); its the milder, but hugely fun personalities that make DG fun. I mean, you met Zach Melton, right? Pro DG is like the best parts of golf etiquette, physicist knowledge, and WWE personalities. And you two gentlemen are the best pairing in disc golf (short of Philo with another Philo in the booth). I propose that we keep you two in the booth together more often. Uli - you bring such a player’s perspective to the commentary. Quick-wit. Germ - such a wide-eyed look on things-just like the rest of us! And for patreon members: same commentary, except you’re both baked as fark. (Hey, does any of this qualify me for like a free disc giveaway or something?)

Certainly closer to the spiritual history of the sport. I would love to see disc golf get hippier and more alternative at the same time as getting more popular. I'm not convinced tucking in tshirts and wearing shorts with belts makes the world a better place. Corporate sell out culture doesn't need to be a necessary component for things to be successful.

It was pretty mind blowing. I feel like I'm making fast progress with the game and feel like I could compete to some kind of standard in the not too distant future. In many ways disc golf feels quite accessible to anyone who can find enough spare time to invest in it. But these guys show that there is a pretty impenetrable elite level. Calvin's putts, my goodness.

I've wondered if/when they'll use drones, if they could be programed to follow the disc but positioned statically in the sky you could get some interesting shots, maybe not top down views maybe just ten meters up in the air, but contrast should be a bit better

@@paulcampau93 yes the noise is awful, really small ones quite high up would I guess be a lot quieter. Certainly in future when infarct sized robots are adorable there will be some more interesting filming options
