Magnuson Moss Act is a law that states whenever you modify a part on a car, the dealership would have to prove that the part you changed caused the warranty claim issue. So if you change the exhaust, you basically void the warranty for just the exhaust and nothing else. A rule of thumb for upgrades is that if you are upgrading either the exhaust, cold air intake, etc. Basic bolt-on stuff, it really won't make much of a difference. The only time that you start getting into full warranty void territory is when you "Tune" your car either using a Flash Tune or a Dyno Tune. Most dealerships will usually check to see if your computer has been tampered with a tune. If it has, most will deny it, however, they would still have to prove that your tune is the reason for the warranty claim. Some people override their vehicles Rev limiter with a handheld tuner which can make your car rev really high, which can damage a lot of internal components. That's why tunes usually void warranties.
