Better put a GOOD HITCH LOCK on that new Weigh Safe hitch, Sean...or, it will be gone

I had the issue with my weigh safe hitch. When I contacted weigh safe they discounted a new ball holder with scale. Right after I replaced it they came out with the steel version and I would rather have the steel vs the aluminum one.

Just a thought but there is much more play in the hitch receiver connecting pin than the ball. If you get an anti rattle device you will quiet down most of the annoyances. Get a lock too as these are easy to steal.

That play in the ball will happen to new one. While it didn't fail it not ok to have play and slowing will fail someday. Or they will be it ok to have a half inch of play 😅😅

Have a 2" weigh safe 6" drop. Had to send it in because 350lbs plus my 250lbs on my tongue registered 0 to 150. Got it back and it worked a couple times but has now miss weighed again. Tongue wt on my F350 not an issue ever. On my Canyon my max is 700- 770 so I got this. Sadly I should have gotten the Sherline... Check tongue weight against Weighsafe measurement. It could be a real issue....

Weigh Safe might warranty that older hitch and send you a new one since ball is loose?

Did you check the condition of the pins and pin holes that lock the ball in place? Were they worn or out of shape in some way? I sure would like to know how Weigh-Safe "Weighs" in on this? I was literally on the verge of buying the same ball for my new Superduty. If I don't see something from them soon, I will have to contact them myself about it.

This one too long.. 20 min... will have to watch it again later. I would weigh it .. then put the solid steel welded one. wouldnt trust the loose one for sure. If you drop that trailer on the street.. the liability would be horrible if someone hit it. Also dont load too many cakes in the "not real" 450 with that loaded trailer already hooked.. GCVW ! And make sure to wash it after the dump ! work... dirt ... use the 250 for that kind of thing !

My God man....read the instructions before you criticize it. The instructions say the ideal sweet spot of tongue weight is 10 to 15% of trailer GVW. If you are saying your trailer weighed 4000 lbs, then the tongue weight should have been 400 to 600 pounds. NOT the 1000 pounds you claimed in video!!!! Funny you described in the late part of video how you rearranged the weight distro and you noticed a big improvement. Well duh! You had to much tongue weight initially and that is why it didnt feel just right. Also, for the peeps that think this scale tells you how much your trailer weighs...WRONG. It only gives you an idea how much tongue weight you have therefore indicating to you if the weight distro is ideal or not.
