the black waves actually a lot of people thinking represents “the black ocean” that bts had to experience a lot during the earlier years.. it’s when people in the audience at award shows or their concerts would go but turn their light sticks off and not move to make it seem like no one was there for them.. some known ones for bts was melon music awards 2016 and golden disc awards.. and no hate because i’m a exo fan but both artists performed there and that’s when bts was getting bigger and exo was the big group at the time but it was said their fans turned off their light sticks for bts’s performances and there are pictures.. that’s why we think the black wave represents the black ocean they experienced in 2016

They were and are going through so much... *RM* got and still gets looked down at and his answer is always "I know." *Jin* has many talents yet they keep being criticized and he doesn't know what to think of himself anymore now as he hides behind confidence. *Suga* was poor and suffered a lot. He still got scars and now that he's rich, people think he should be happy but money clearly isn't happiness and his shadow is still living with him. *J-Hope* keeps being looked down at, being called ugly, worthless and even on his lives he keeps being asked on how are the others. *Jimin* got on an extremly severe diet and he is worried with what people thinks of him and how he should be like and what he should change *V* got bullied, keeps being called weird, receives death threats and many more. He is criticized here and there and his smile fades. *Jungkook* keeps being told to leave the group because he apparently causes too much trouble, gets criticism because of his choices in lifes and even gets threats. But *ARMY* will always be there for them. *ARMY* will always make sure they smile, that they're happy and that they live a good life just like *BTS* taught us to do. *BTS* taught us how to love, accept and speak ourselves. And so *ARMY* wants to do the same thing in return. We're a *family* *We're together and forever bulletproof.*

What I got from this MV: In the beginning it shows the current Namjoon seeing the old Namjoon on the other side then they take us to that side, it shows them going from No More Dream Era onwards, and then when Jimin gets to the danger era, suddenly everything starts happening so fast the broken glasses being thrown at them the thorns and everything, that's the hate...thats all the hate they got, it came out of nowhere and so suddenly. Then in one part you see Yoongi stand up holding his arm, which is because of the accident he was in while doing deliveries during his trainee days which lead to his shoulder getting dislocated. You see them dodging the glasses and fighting against everything that is thrown their way, the leaves and the purple lights around Joon when drowning gives him hope to fight and makes him swim up to the top, its us, its our love. They walk and run together, when they reach the spring day scene all gathered by the fire, they see a purple light that comes to them which is us, ARMY. It turns into a whale which reminded me of whalien 52, we're the whale, it makes them soar through different heights and takes them higher up and on the stage and then the entire scene with the purple lights and them standing in the circle, is from the Wings Tour The Final, when they performed born singer and armys gave them a purple ocean..then you see them standing on the stage and Jhope I believe, is crying, tae also wipes his eyes and they all are feeling really emotional as they put their hand on each others shoulder as a sign of comfort. They stood together and looked forward to the path and looked up at the ARMY logo which turns into the BTS logo and opens up the way for them, which I think means that we made a flower path for them, and then they move forward..together..and look back at everything at the end.. Now I think the reason as to why they ended it with the Boy With Luv era is because that's the last era they experienced with us together💕💜💜

(am I totally gonna post this under every reaction I watch of this to make sure everyone knows the significance of this MV? absolutely 😆) there's so many hidden things for veteran Army 😭 - the intro with the blue bighit logo (their old one was orange with blue background) - it then turning into the wall of their old dance practice studio and Joon wearing his Boy With Luv outfit confronting his debut days self in a "Reflection" - Jungkook walking down the street of the No More Dream MV in their debut stage outfit - him turning into Tae walking into the We Are Bulletproof pt 2 MV and the glasses being sh0t or punched off is actually his part in the No More Dream choreo - it then turns into Hobi who walks into the N.O MV - it then turns into Jin walking down an empty hallway in the Boy In Luv MV - which then turns into the set of Danger with Jimin walking in his We Are Bulletproof pt 2 outfit - the thorny monster arms, shattering glass, everything falling to pieces and the "black ocean" (fandoms joined forces to not have their lightsticks on during an award show to show their disliking of BTS) are all the hate, antis, defamation and other things they have faced - Namjoon falling into a big dark ocean hit me especially hard, cuz he was a very (I don't wanna say depressed but he literally has a therapist and I think all the hate did cause him mental pain) sad person for a while. It shows a lot in his fashion back then (all black), his studio set up (all black), his earnest demeanor and his first mixtape (and also his 2nd where he finally let go) - the shattered shards chasing Yoongi in his I Need U outfit also hits hard, cuz around that era, when they first won on a music show the hate got really bad (when they were accused of copying other groups and bulk buying albums etc. cuz they won first place) - the small amount of purple lights who help Joon resurface of course being the veteran Army who stood by them when they had no one else (most peers/idols looked down on them, so did their fans and especially the industry and companies) - them standing up and the cherry blossoms signifying the Most Beautiful Moment era (that really meant a lot to us and them) really hit me, especially when it turned into Joon walking towards "us" in the Young Forever MV set with the other 6 😭 - they then all run through the I Need U, Run, Blood Sweat and Tears and Not Today MVs in their Run/Fire era hairstyles but debut outfits signifying that they stayed the same humble guys - they run towards the Spring Day MV tree and sit in a bonfire circle from the I Need U MV but they're wearing their Wings Tour Final concert outfits - and here is where it gets really painful ✋😭: - the whale is a reference to the song Whalien 52 which is a whale no one can hear in the ocean so he is alone, but he carries the boys into heaven aka the stage and Army (the purple glowy things) are their galaxy - the Army galaxy turns into the shape of a concert hall/stadium that resembles Wembley and the way they're standing away from each other on stage suggests it's the "Born Singer" performance - they then stand together on stage, Hobi holding a MAMA award and all of them crying: it's a combination of their ending speech from the Wings Final concert that was very very heartfelt (Joon's "lessen your pain from 99 to 98 etc." being quoted a lot from that day) AND the 2018 MAMA speech when Hobi cried and they confessed they almost disbanded - the stage extending to the Army logo which then turns into the Bangtan logo meaning we're one and they have us and we have them ("we are not 7 with you") - it ending with cherry blossom petals and Boy With Luv outfits meaning they're happy now and some people said it stopped there cuz they didn't have the chance to be with us during the Map of the Soul 7 era yet and cuz BWL was a very happy time for them (many awards won, lots of achievements, the guys being a lot more happy and content with themselves) Overall a very very heartfelt MV and it made me cry cuz I witnessed it all over the past 7 years and them dropping it on the day their first MV debuted and people ridiculed them for their style etc really hit different Update: something I read on twitter that rings very true - they take a rest in the Spring Day MV cuz they thought this era was their limit only to be picked up by the whale/us and brought to even higher highs and the biggest stage

this video/song is showing how Armys have helped them become what they are today and allow them to have dreams. when joon was drowning the purple lights came into the water to save him, those lights and the flower petals are us. and when they were all sitting by the camp fire, and the purple lights came again, we boosted them up to heaven. and then it showed when they won that award and armys (the purple lights) were crowding all around them. our logo came up and then the boy with luv era was the last thing we saw because we haven't gotten the chance to share the 7 era with them, so they didn't show On. I really love this song because it definitely hits me hard as a veteran army. the journey we've been on is insane, but now the boys are here ruling the world and I'm so so proud.

Anything that makes me look back just makes me cry. I’m so happy many people got to love them and their music as time passed. Their story is seriously insane. Like they literally started from nothing, getting so much hate for the most stupid reasons. They truly deserve every single piece of success they have today. I am still blown away by how far they’ve come

I can speak 4 languages and not a single word I know in these languages can explain how much I love this song. It is so personal and so raw. It is happy and sad at the same time. It ensures ARMYs that the boys are genuinely doing what they love now. They have more control over the content they put out now and it SHOWS. The line distributions are much better than they used to be, the songs are wayy more well produced(not saying the older ones weren't, because they were. Tomorrow is one of the best produced songs I know) and the current songs are more experimental. We can see that the boys are playing around and trying new things. It makes me extremely happy to see them live their lives as musicians and not just performers. I hope they continue to do things they love💜💜
