I got a 2020 Tucson for service maintenance. In this video I will be showing my process when I replace rear brake pads ad rotors with electric parking brake caliper. Thank you again for watching.

14 mm = 23 ft.lb, 17mm = 72 ft.lb

So I did my wives rear brakes by just pushing the piston back because I didnt know about needing a scan tool for electric parking brakes but what I did was disengage the parking brake and then removed the old pads and spun the piston just up until the new pads were able to fit in. What could have gone wrong when doing that just so I know what I could have encountered.

Worsr case scenario you will have malfunction in e brake system, but if it works normally you should be okay.

Do both left and right calipers retract the piston with the same clockwise direction? I noticed that some of those brake caliper tools have only a regular thread bolt and others have left and right threaded pieces...

Yes, both calipers turn right piston goes in.

hello good day i have 2015 hyundai tucson rear brake problem no oil coming out in the bleeder screw only front have brake pressure

Possible corrosion builup on the bleeder screw, try removing the flexible hose from the caliper if theres fluid coming out most likely you need new caliper, if no fluid you have to work your way up going to the abs module if theres restriction. Hope that helps

Do you have to rotate the piston to get it to go back in or is simply pushing it in fine?

Once the epb service mode is done, you have have to push the piston.

Yes most of the parking brake in the caliper almost the same repair process.

If you open bleeder to push piston in, you won’t know if the brake hose is collapsed or not 🤔

Well if im thinking right if theres a collapse hose there will be uneven pad wear between right and left side. And with this type of process it will be more helpful in my opinion with higher kilometers car atleast the old brake fluid instead of going back to the line it will just come out to the bleeder screw.
