(www.carcoachreports.com) The 2020 Jaguar XE P300 R-Dynamic S AWD gets a refresh for 2020. The history of Jaguar is about racing, and the heritage of performance and British excellence.
The V6 and diesel engines have been discontinued, but the new 2L engine performance offers great power and good fuel economy. The updated exterior styling and lighting plus the Improved interior materials, and additional storage make the Jaguar XE a contender in the German competitive set.
For performance, the 296 hp 4-cylinder engine scoots from 0-60 seconds in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 120 mph. Fuel economy is 22 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Pricing ranges from $39,900 - $46,295 depending on your preferences.
Also new for 2020 is the new climate and infotainment systems with Apple Car Play and Android Auto which is a must in this segment. The infotainment system is slow to respond compared to other brands.
The Jaguar XE offers sharp handling and steering performance that compares to others in the category.
The back seat is relatively cramped, however, the trunk capacity is larger than average.

First of all this is a fantastic review....Good job. I own this exact car in this color and put 9,000 miles on it driving it cross country 3 times already. Being a car nerd and Jag enthusiast I can’t help but be nosy and add some things. As far as cornering and handling this Jag is reminiscent of 80’s and 90’s German engineering when the cars had a much tighter suspension and sensitive intuitive handling. Since then the German auto manufacturers got soft as per complaints from the American market. I drove the BMW MB and AUDI...In my opinion this car handles on the road and takes corners much better than the Americanized softened up German cars. Much more fun to drive while maintaining the luxury feel. It took several hours of driving on the yummy seats before driver fatigue even began. Regarding the view out of the rear window...The rear view mirror turns into a full wide screen monitor with a rear view camera replacing the mirror at the flip of the switch under the rear view mirror. You can adjust the lighting of the camera and the angle...I LOVE it! I don’t even use the mirror anymore unless I’m fixing my hair. Don’t tell anyone I hit top speeds across the state of Texas, passed several highway patrol and they didn’t seem to mind. If you want a luxury sport coupe do it. Good luck finding one though. They only sent a handful build with these options to the USA. Happy motoring !
