Launch, dig and roll accelerations in a 2020 Kia Optima FE 2.4L. All accelerations were done in Sport with the TCS and Stability off. Car was loaded on 93 oct. premium gasoline. Top speed rating ungoverned is 139mph.
-2020 Kia Optima FE :
-2.4L DOHC 16v i4 185hp @ 6000rpm & 178ft-lbs (241Nm) @ 4000rpm
for 3230lbs (1465Kg) FWD with a 6 speed automatic.
All filmed in an abandoned Mexican highway with a GOPRO HERO8 action camera.

Basically, it doesn’t get there in a hurry, but it still gets there. That’s good enough for me😂😂😂 I currently drive an SUV that only gets bad MPG

Yeah most of the cars in that category are limited around 110-125 tops. I was surprised this one did not have a governor ( had some idiot not gotten in my lane for no reason i probably would have gotten to 139 which is supposedly the car's top speed ungoverned )

Car Acceleration Channel Lol I don’t even care about top speed at this point The dune buggy I’m riding around in now gets from 0-60 in 12+ seconds It can easily maintain a speed speed, but trying to pass someone is nearly impossible unless they’re driving slower than 45

I have that same model the 2020 2.4 FE. I got it up to 146 mph..... Took forever, but it got up there. Very impressed by this car.

i have a 2020 2.4 non turbo, it gets good gas mileage and will get out of the way, it runs great at 80+

I don't know, i just put 93 as a baseline for all the cars i test and compare.

On 93 in this model itll run rich, better to just stick with 89 as its better than 87.

8s to 60 mph. 1.6 Turbo is doing 7.5s ang GT around 6.8-7... Traction is the main issue.

a 310hp mustang ecoboost does the 0-60 in 5.3sc you're pretty far off, a 197hp 2690lbs fiesta st does 6.7sc. Try closer to 8.1sc because that's what it does 0-60mph. Its not a Lamborghini but it's not as fast as you state either.

@@CarAccelerationChannel do you know the governed top speed? I have one it's brand new and I'm waiting until it gets a little older before I top it out lol I have been 105mph in it though and it pulls really good for a 4 cylinder. Definetly faster than my 2016 Camry

@@CarAccelerationChannel if the 540i would have had the right upgrades, it would be as fast or faster than the M5. There are so many 528s 318s etc around here, that no one thinks any beemer is quick. You would think a straight-piped 4.4 would be a clue that it's not a 528.

The terrain is also turbo charged this is Optima base model with the least amount of power so it it was against the Sx Optima with the 2.0t as well then it would be close if not faster because the Optima is lighter
