2020 SHOT Show 511 Tactical New Products

Күн бұрынJane and Matt from @511tactical show us some of their new products for 2020.
This includes 2 new headlamps, the RAPID HL 1AA Headlamp and the Response HL XR1 headlamp, which also double as handheld or body worn lights.
Other EDC items include the M3, M2, and Mk I Hardpoint carabiners and molle compatible light bars. There is also a full line of belts for nearly every use.
Finally, 5.11 collaborated with Doug Marcaida to create two new knives - The Marcaida Talon Fixed and Marcaida Folder. These knives are only available through 5.11 stores. Information on all other products can be found at www.511tactical.com/

Everyone keeps saying that these items are crap but I think these are very useful. The flashlight for camping or working on my truck. The carabiners for gloves and cam lights. Light bar for my back pack when I’m on my motorcycle.

In germany we used something like the lightbar during marches in the night on the back of the helmet. If you march in the woods you can see the man in front of you.

As a gunsmith that head lap is extremely appealing to me. A head lamp AND a flash light??? Man that would be a great edition to my work bench

And exactly the reason I commented that there should be a model that goes from the lowest brightness to highest. More often than not I need a lower light output to find something nearby. I'll adjust to a higher light output if I need it. I don't want to be blinded first and then work myself down.

Dude, Doug Marcaida knives look sick. I know what I'm getting at the end of the summer. And those headlamps are bright as all hell

There are very few companies that get this right. There needs to be an option where you go from Low to High. Most of the time you're using a flashlight to look for something close. A headlamp is used for many different purposes, but around base-camp, I don't need 600+ lumen with almost 20k candela to look for my spork in my tent. Let me start low and adjust to a higher setting.

5.11 Boots are great. I'll be buying two pairs of the low cuts. I need the Headlamp as well. The light bars could have a purpose, so I'll look into them. ~My Maxpedition Packs are serving me well, so I do not need to replace them.

Finnish defence forces actually have those "light bars" which you can "recharge" and they will provide "lightmark" all day in tac vests. My experience is that it lasts like 5 minutes and the "light" disappears... Awesome way to show squad leader where your team is but it gets hard if you trust those and they stop providing light

I love my 5.11 pants but there’s no way in hell I would buy one of those flashlights.

I've been looking for a decent flashlight that fits 5.11's external pistol mag pocket seen on some of their pants. I'm thinking this is designed with that pocket in mind as an alternative carry format.

Fenix all day over 5.11. Our Sheriffs office bought 5.11 lights and they're horrible. They're not as bright as their competitors in each class and they're not built to high standards.

Don’t dig the geometry on the silly carabiners. Clip should be down and out instead of up. No go.

what a stupid pocket clip design! good luck attaching it to molly. just give us the tried and true pocket clip that works for any and every situation. after all isnt your motto " always be ready"?
