The only,ya downside of a 3 cylinder engine be it in rapid or Verna ,when you push the throttle the engine starts to generate the loud turbo noise which a 4 cyclinder engine curbs it down , driving enthusiasts will love that sound but not the majiority of buyers

I am watching this, at the end of 2021, when rapid is a history, and it's cousin, Vento is 'on it's way'!! I thank you, with your no-nonsense review of rapid. If a petrolhead wants to spend @15lakh, he should get 'zero NVH'!! + DSG. BOTH COMPANIES FAILED TO PROVIDE THESE TWO POINTS, A PETROL OWNER WANTS!! 'RATTLE' is the right word, for what you experienced in driving, at idle condition, & at lower speeds. It's not made for higher r.p.m., so no questions about it!! Now, I have no option left!! Either go for 4 cylinder 1.2TSI in second hand market, or wait for their electric car!!( Owner of 999cc Three cylinder wagonR!!! 'Bhala hum se kaun, three cylinder rattle ke baare mein ladega/ Argue karega?)

Hey guys... recently saw your Polo TSI edition review. Just a query... What would you suggest between Polo TSI edition and Rapid Rider edition. Price is almost same. (30k here and there?? As a complete package..... Which would be good?? Is Rapid is as good as Polo for driving pleasure??? Would be great if I get some replies from knowledgeable person... Alloys/Infotainment system can be retrofitted but the space Can't.. hence asking about this. Thanks in advance. P.S. if you could, Do a short review of Rapid Rider variant and compare with Polo.

Sir you told this monte carlo edition with 16" wheels have riding comfort different from rider edition 15" so if we replace with a 16" alloys can we get the comfort of this monte carlo? pls reply..

Hello mate, I think you may get the same comfort and performance by doing it that way as the main components like suspension, engine, transmission, brakes and even wheels are the same in both rider and monte carlo edition (as you mentioned).

Very tough question. I own both..polo is agile fun to drive in city traffic. Rapid is little more spacious and scores with elegance in highway. If u re college boy go with polo..mods , sporty etc etc.. If u re Office guy go with rapid. .. simple and elegant..

Had seen a 2012 rapid review prior to this, Interiors are same leaving aside the infotainment system, only change skoda have managed in 8 years ;) Exteriors- New face, alloys thats it !!! Engine - From 1.6 MPI they have come to 1.0 Tsi in a decade, sure power and Torque are higher but the charm, pull and refinement of a Naturally aspirated 4 cylinder motor is so pure, which will b missed

I took test drives back to back Honda City and the rapid. I have a maruti ignis currently.. Ignis and City are NA It's next to impossible to use the full power on the city in 'City driving' !! Rapid gathers speed so so easily and quickly! Ciaz the same too.. call ciaz is light yes but that doesn't help.. I was all about natural aspiration but not after driving the rapid! Only a fool would buy city or ciaz really in today's time.. I bought the rapid

@@lalit-ew9sz sales figures of Ciaz and City are almost triple that of rapid, 6,000 people choosing city and ciaz combined, 800 people choosing rapid every month. It is a matter of personal choice, calling people fool is highly unappreciated. Agreed rapid pulls better in mid range, but dies out completely post 5000 rpm whereas the City's Vtec wakes up at 5000 rpm and pulls till 7500 rpm Rapid can't match City's top end pull as Honda's are high revving.

@@vishvaveer9281 by fool here I meant uneducated , the mass mentality is to go with Honda and maruti - good resale and low maintenance cost. These 2 points control major population . So your first point of comparing sales figures is out Calling people fool here is short for uneducated . The genius mind that maruti has - for example let's take ciaz- the whole cars build quality is horrible.. it's an inflated balloon of thin metal.. you can actually press the sides of the car with your bare hands... But we only care about resale and maintenance cost .. fools High end of Honda City .. You really drive everyday? I don't think so If you did.. you would know how much efforts it take to reach 5k rpm on that naturally aspirated engine .. Oh and yeah as if you would time and space in city traffic to play in those high revvs when you are constantly slowing down or stopping ! VW they don't care , India not there primary source of income.. yes customer is at disadvantage here.. It's VW.. they don't play like maruti .. For maruti India is like it's bread and butter Yes, the buyer looses compared to people living outside India.. but definitely wins against those who buy the ciaz etc

Everything great about this car but I fail to understand that rather than giving 6 airbags in Monte Carlo edition by charging extra premium, they halved it to 2 (as compared to Active)

While importing vehicles, it's 6.5 inch, but when u gonna buy style or Monte Carle, yu will be getting 8 inch one before delivering...They just didnt fit in on demo cars but they will, inhowrrom before delivering it to us..

i20 deisal come after September and it will be price around 8 to 9 lakh approx it is more expensive than rider skoda .. if u buy deisal hyndai cars are more expensive...and your monthly run 1250 which is approx 45 km per day so no need to buy deisal bro Just save money buy skoda and install allow and touchscreen and u good to ready.. Rest all is your choice..

Mondeep Bora normal style variant has good leatherette seats , this is the racing edition so that’s why fabric seats with colour options has been stiched

Mondeep Bora waise bhi rapid is in the market in India for only next 7-8 months , rapid replacement is coming next year in 1st half , it maybe a new generation rapid but not named rapid it will be A-Z different except for the engines

The display has a super bad position. You might have expected to be set higher, closer to the eyes of the driver, just as Scala has it. I have a 2019 model and using maps on that screen makes it useless. Luckly i didn't pay for the option

Android Auto is specifically designed to be used while driving. It has much larger icons, and brighter colours so it is easier to use while driving and is less of a distraction. This interface is more like a regular Android tablet and switching apps, say between Maps and Spotify, is a more attention-intensive process.

An android tablet as an Infotainment system is just not a smart idea all it really needs is android auto and Apple car play . Nobody is going to browse the web in a car's infotainment screen

That infotainment system is the cheap aftermarket radio based on tablet. wondering why would skoda do that. maybe thats what Indian want cheap and poor quality :(

What a stupid variant.. One should pay way more for cheap looking touch infotainment and seat!.. The wheels are the only better bit.. Rider is wonderful, but VW group as whole has lost the opportunity in the way they have specced 'ageing' Cars.. If it still not clear to the freak management there, that there is a set of people who buy their cars, people who lookout for things that mainstream car buyers don't.. It's stupid to compete against Ciaz n City and i20 n Swift.. They could've have eliminted the base variants in both brands completely..and enjoyed not only scale of economy but better acceptance in the masses.. Rider could have gotten the Style's wheel and Style should've been shod with Monte Carlo's.. Using the already reliable and quick to respond infotainment in Vento n Polo would've been sufficient.. I'm sure they don't source none of their infotainment from India, and when they do it looks horrible like seen here.. VW group has pathetic people working at the top ranks who don't know how to spec cars and do part sharing.. Which is why there is a stupid 1.0 MPI option in Polo today and Rapid never got the 1.2 TSI dsg for example..

What a thrilling driving experience with high speed stability we can drive above 150km/hr without any shivering .I think you got damaged vehicle sure

VW and Skoda design are understated elegance,. They don't go for fancy makeovers. Their design language is more evolutionary and functional. They have nothing to learn from Hyundai .
